Curacao Airport Hotel — Hotel in Curaçao

It was my first and 2nd time at the hotel.. The first time all was well. except that i had to wait until 2 o clock to get the room. The Girl at the front desk was very polite and attended me well.

The 2nd time i was here i got another room. The first room i had view on the airstrip. (loved it, since i'm an aviation enthusiast).

The second room was way at the begining of the building i had a small view of the airstrip, i managed to live with that. But the Wifi was very bad. Called the front Desk to complain about this, but told me that the local ISP had to come and check/reset the router. Well i had to deplete my phone's data plan because i had no internet connection on the hotel's wi-fi. I tried to connect via a network cable through the IP phone, but no luck. The next day the wi-fi connection was up and running well again.

The second room had some broken stuff in the room, cabinet doors that were worn. The bed was very comfortable.

There was no hand soap in the toilet. I had some i got at an hotel abroad so i had to use that, but if i didn't have those, i couldn't use any soap.

I arrived the 2nd time in the afternoon and asked if the restaurant at the hotel was open and they said no. But they offered the option to order from a restaurant and have them deliver it to your room.

For drinks, they don't have alot to offer. they have a small list in the lobby and was told that those are the only options you have.

If i would like to stay here next time... yes.. but hoping that the wi-fi connection is good and have a room with a good view on the airport strip. 😉

One more tip for them. Put equal amount of sugar packets as the coffee ones. Had tea with sugar the previous day, the next day there was no more sugar packets to...

Hey guys, i hope you all doing good. I was for more than two weeks on curacao. One of may staying flat was the Airport Hotel for 2 days. It was not a good experience at all.

The check-in was really late. I guess its a problem all over curacao. Check-in was 16 pm and check out was at 11 am. I was quite sure that i booked a late check out for 50 $ more but the told me that i didnt do it. The problem was that they didnt write the details on the bill so we could not check clearly if i already paid it or not.

The Hotel is really really expensive. I paid for 2 days 245€.

They put a bottle of water in my room. The bottle was so little that within one swallow i would drink it all. the bottle does cost 2 $. But when you go to the reception you can buy a bigger bottle of water for the same price lol....

i rented a car from a rental car company. we had an appointment with the rental car. Worker of the rental car didne come on time so i asked the reception if they would call the rental car because i dont have a local number. They told me that i have to pay 2$ for every minute i talk on the phone. I had to accept it because there was no other option for me. I paid with 10$ the reception worker told me that she cant change the money. I have to go to the casino which is part of the hotel to change the money. I never seen this behaviour in my life before. I mean i had a room in this hotel and paid with money and i have to go to change it ?!

all in all i cant recommend the hotel. Too expensive. The staff ist not capable to help.

We live in Bonaire and when we go on vacation and we need to overnight in Curacao we always stay here. They are very close by to the airport and you can litterly walk from the airport to the hotel and back in like less than 10 minutes (depends how fast u can walk though). About the rooms itself everyhime we stayed they were nice and clean. The bed was big cozy. The bathroom was semi small but u can shower. Although it was just for one night so thats enough for me. The water does not get very hot though altleats both of the times we went there either it takes very long to get ( a little ) hot or it wasnt hot at all. The chillzone/ restaurant and bar was nice. The first time we visited we didnt had a chance to go there but the second time we got our free drinks coupon and ordered a drink and sat next to the pool and drink. The view outside next to the pool is tremendous (nightview) and its not too busy. Just calming people sitting and eating or talking at a low voice. Just right. I would definetly recommend this place if like you're staying for one night or just need a quick place to sleep and shower. I wouldnt stay in for more than two nights because i would get tiered of the small bathroom :P ... (My opinion ) But like if you want to just stay like for a night or so i do recommend here and is quick and easy to walk to the airport. Although there are taxi and so outside to drop you of the airport. But both times we went there. we walked to the aiport with our luggages.
