I recently stayed at this hotel as part of a group trip with Leger and if I was to stay at this hotel again in the future I'd be content.||The hotel, both common areas and rooms, are well presented- it feels rather modern but some of the wear and tear suggests it is older than you'd expect. That said it was very clean.||My room was on the 11th floor so I had nice views out of the windows and zero road noise. Unfortunately the aircon in the bathroom seemed to run all night which did disturb me but there was no noise from surrounding rooms.||The bed was very comfy - I think it might have been a form of memory foam, but the shower was merely so-so. It was nicely spacious but the water pressure and heat let it down - it did the minimum shall we say. The room came with a hairdryer which was a modern one - no pressing and holding a single small button which I appreciated. There were also tea/coffee facilities in the room.||The TV in the room appeared to have some English language channels, but every channel I tried regardless of language was static filled and unwatchable. Luckily there was plenty of charging in the room so I was able to use a tablet I had with me instead. There were 4 USB charging options in all - 2 by the bed and a further 2 at the desk area, with 3 standard continental charging points.||Staff at the hotel bar in the evening were very pleasant, one took the time to help me with my pronunciation of Bedankkt (thank you) - I never quite got there but I tried! Breakfast was a bit of a different matter, staff were very firm on entry (which I do get but there's a customer service way of saying no which was not utilised) and the food was very basic fare - a lot of basic continental staples plus some bacon, eggs etcetera. ||I'd certainly consider this hotel again for a single...
Read moreExcellent spot for business trips. Right next to the Eindhoven airport. Eindhoven is only 15-20 minutes away by car. Rail is accessible from here. Not as bike friendly as the rest of Netherlands. There is an annoying one way loop around the the business area and you need to do at least one loop to get to the hotel and another loop when you leave to get to the highway. Incredibly frustrating when you miss a turn.
Rooms were clean and check in was super quick. Rooms were very nice. Everything looked new and they even had professional hair driers. Views from the rooms are meh.
Pricing can't be beat. Very affordable even if you were to pay out of pocket for this. Only gripe was that parking was not included in the rate. That cost like 20 euros extra and is not guaranteed. There is a limited number of open air spots. The covered parking garage is not part of Holiday Inn. Depending on how long you stay, it might be more economical to stay in the garage. Breakfast wasn't included in my rate either. Which was another added expense. Breakfast here was pretty great compared to other Holiday Inn's I've stayed at in the US. Lots of options (although if you're staying here for a while, you'll notice the options do not change. This got boring after 2 days). I liked how they had fresh breads and pastries and cuts of meat and cheese.
They do have rental umbrellas and a small snack purchasing area on the...
Read moreWe werenât originally meant to be in this hotel but overall I am really glad we did.||Our room was a great size, comfy bed and the air con worked a treat on the warmer days. Bathroom was modern and clean but the shower gel was never topped up and was always empty even after we raised with reception.||Parking is a bit of a nightmare here. They have 18 spaces for a hotel of this size. We were out all day so arriving back meant there were no spaces left. Information on where else to park locally didnât seem readily available and was a pain. Nora on the reception helped us with this but we had a rather hostile interaction with the duty manager because of this. When asked if all the 18 spaces were full when we arrived, and we responded with Yes, he was shocked and questionned us again. Why would I not park in one if one was available? Felt a bit unnecessary and was only doing something we had been very kindly suggested. Also at 18 euros a night, itâs crazy expensive. ||Breakfast was fantastic. Huge choice, eggs to order including omelettes and huge shout out to Mylene. She was there on 2 of the days and remembered us and our little boy on the 2nd day and asked about the previous day. The team at breakfast were the standouts for us.||Overall, Iâd most definitely stay again, but avoid having a car here for the reasons mentioned. It isnât worth the hassle,...
