We stayed over for a flight layover, we took the family room whigh accommodate 5, clean neat design with toilet and shower at the middle with frosted glass. (Pictures are from checkout after kids, sorry for the less inviting ones) We did pre check-in, when we arrived we got the key in less then 10 minutes although the lobby was packed with arrivals At the lobby there is some cofee and snacks area you can buy, but if you are getting there late or need things for your next flight do buy them in the airport supermarketAt the lobby there is some cofee and snacks area you can buy, but if you are getting there late or need things for your next flight do buy them in the airport supermarket Getting there and back is possible by taxi/limo which is quite expensive or hopping on a bus with a short 5 minutes walk onto the bridge, we came by taxi and returned by bus (following the hotel crew firm recommendation - thanks !) Bus / taxi is 10-20 minutes drive from the airport, bus might have been quicker Good place for a layover

One of the BEST hotels ever. Super clean and comfy. Everything is newly renovated. The beds are very comfortable. Housekeeping is clean. Staff is very helpful and kind. The price is one of the cheapest. We got three twin bedrooms for my family of 5 . The rooms are very small ofcourse but I have seen worse in other hotels. It is located only a couple of minutes by bus (397, 470 and many more) from the airport where you can transit and go further to the city centre or to any other place. The hotel itself is located near a Mcdonalds if you ever need food urgently. Close to the busstop so no problem if you have bagage with you. I was reluctant at first because I thought it was too complicated and expensive to get to the hotel from the airport but then i found the app Tranzer where I could buy cheap transport tickets like 1,8 € /person. Otherwise you have to buy the tickets directly from the bussdriver and they cost 6,50€ / person for 90 minutes so pretty expensive. Highly recommend this underrated hotel.

Reasonable price, somewhat small with 23m2, clean, no cupboards or closets. No bad surprise with additional taxes, everything included. Tv, Wifi, shower, etc. all ok. Parking 15€. But stay away from the breakfast. If you still want it, purchase per item, don't book it. The price is 13€ and simply not worth it. In the picture you see what you get, but just one single item: 1 pastry. 3,- 1 tea. 3,- 1. Banana. 1,- 1 Joghurt. 2,- And we arrived at 9,- €. Where's my money at? Ohh right, there is a cereal bar for 4,-?! And also the picture is wrong as there are 3 fruits in the picture. But in fact you get just one. I guess to make it look nicer and the plate not so empty, like it is. Anyways, the receptionist is friendly and the facility is quiet, no flight noise discernable. Final verdict: I would only stay there if price is paramount as I transfer to or from the airport and no breakfast needed. And to the management: pls reconsider your breakfast arrangement.

Rooms are very small (this shouldn't be a surprise as they are very honest about the dimensions on the website) but laid out pretty ingeniously. For example, the bathroom door swung two ways and acted as the shower door as well. There is also a large common area in the lobby where you can go and do work / grab a coffee if needed.

The bathroom (and especially the shower) was surprisingly large. Lots of counter space and several hooks.

Front staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They always said "hi" when I walked in. I once asked for some extra pillows and they didn't have one (kind of weird but whatever) so they took an extra sheet and folded it into a pillow case for me. Honestly, it worked pretty good.

Some other quick pros: good AC, free wifi, a couple complimentary drink coupons, and 24h front staff.

Now, the one downside was the cleanliness. I always pull back the sheets to check for bedbugs (which there were NONE in case you were worried) but when I did so, I saw the mattress cover was extremely stained. There wasn't even a fitted sheet on top either - just a top sheet that kept slipping around while we slept. Pillows had the same problem. I took off the covers and they were stained as well. Yuck. There was also some hair in the bed. (We did just brush that away so not the biggest deal but still kind of off putting).

The shower also seemed to have moldy chaulking. It was giving "communal gym shower" vibes. Luckily, I did bring shower shoes and I would recommend that to other guests who want to stay here.

Honestly, the whole room needed a really deep clean. There was no daily cleaning either (which I think is the norm everywhere since covid) but you could ask reception for anything you needed 24/7

Now, if you're still with me reading this, I'll give you some tourist tips that don't really have much to do with the hotel itself but might help you decide if you want to stay in the area:

Very close to a major express bus route but be careful! Most buses are NOT part of the amsterdam city routes so don't buy a city bus pass like I did. It's just better to pay-as-you-go. All buses will take you to the airport in like 5mins so you can hop on the trains / tube there for better city access. It takes about 30mins to get downtown, which isn't too bad. Since this is a "hotel airport" the surrounding area is extremely lacking in things to do (ie. No shops or resturaunts). However, there is a Macdonald randomly next door...

The hotel is not fulfilling its obligations. Settlement for a large group of 80 people was fully paid two weeks before arrival. Four days before arrival, the hotel confirmed our check-in. Upon arrival, people did not have enough rooms. The hotel, which was paid for 80 beds, demanded an additional surcharge of 960 euros. At the same time, the hotel denied that they had all the documents and refused to print them. After the presentation of all accounts on our part, after lengthy and complex negotiations, the problem was resolved, but only for one day. A day later, one person from the group, a minor child, was evicted from the room at 24.00 without explanation. The hotel employee defiantly refused not only to solve the problem, but also to communicate. The police, who arrived at the call, confirmed the error of the hotel, but abstained from solving the problem. As a result, at night we paid again for the room that was paid the day before. All these three hours, until late at night, the child was not allowed into the room. We do not recommend to anyone. These are dishonest people who ignore any communication and solve their own mistakes at the...

You get what you pay for...

This is not meant in a bad way, if your expecting the Hilton then you'll be disappointed... Looking for a hotel room that's not going to break the budget? MaxHotel is what you're looking for...

I spent 16 days at Max Hotel while renovations were being done to the rental property I was moving into...

Let's run though the basics...

Staff The staff are super friendly and always willing to assist. Great people!

Location Not necessarily close to a shopping center, but then neither are any of that other hotels in the area. However, 6 minutes by bike or around 15 minutes walking to Hoofddorp shopping centre. MacDonalds right next door. MaxHotel does offer rental bikes.

Rooms Various size rooms available... I revert back to my first point, if your looking for a reasonably priced room (subject to Netherlands prices) you will be hard pressed to find anything cheaper outside of a shared dormitory. Everything you need... Bed, shower, TV, free WiFi...

So, in summary... Looking for a hotel room on a budget... Look no further, I have! I couldn't find anything to match...
