We were drawn to this hotel based on the appealing pictures online, but our experience did not live up to the expectations set by the website. While the staff were generally friendly and helpful, their lack of experience occasionally became evident. For instance, our check-in process was confusing and prolonged as they struggled to locate our booking. The hotel’s location is convenient, with proximity to a shopping center and train station. However, navigating the tunnel to these locations at night felt unsafe. The primary issue was the cleanliness and housekeeping. Although we understand that bed linens are changed every three days, we were disappointed by the lack of daily room cleaning. The room was only tidied up minimally: garbage was taken out and towels were replaced, but mugs and glasses remained dirty. The consistency of the amenities was also problematic. Of the three rooms we booked, some had slippers and bathrobes while others did not. Housekeeping only addressed the cleanliness issues after we complained to the reception. Despite this, they missed cleaning the table and dust under it. Additionally, when we tried to order room service, we were initially told the kitchen was closed. Only after mentioning that the reception had informed us of available snacks did the staff confirm that we could order them. Overall, the hotel did not meet our expectations and felt overpriced for the quality received.

I wouldn't stay in this hotel again even if my life depended on it. Sure the room was large, and clean, and the bathroom and bed both a generous size. But who would build a hotel with train lines running at the front and at the back of the hotel. Our room at the front of the hotel overlooks a building site, a homeless caravan park, overgrown weeds, building materials and a train line. At the rear of the hotel is the main train station and a mosque which you can hear their chanting whilst in the room. If you look at the Park Plaza website it has pictures of its location, this is false advertising, as its location is nothing like that - a trading standards issue in my book. I have posted pictures of its actually location which the hotel should use on their website. I have never stayed in a worse location in over 45 years of worldwide travel. Before you book do your own research on the hotels location and the view from the hotel and its rooms. In addition people hang around the front entrance smoking away, they may be hotel guests rather than vagrants, but why does the hotel support this by placing ashtrays at the entrance doors. Thank God we are only here for one night. Room has a fridge, would be nice to have some water or milk in it.

Stayed for 4 nights and booked the Superior room with a queen sized bed. The room was spacious and well distributed. Bathroom had a shower although for my taste, the water pressure was a little weak. Bed was very comfortable. A negative was that from 10am until 3pm they turned off the heating system, which I understand they do for sustainability. However when you're dealing with 0 degree temperatures outside, the room can get cold pretty quickly, so I would suggest to lower the input instead of completely shutting it off. Breakfast was very tasty, both hot, cold and sweets. Very recommended. For the gym rats like myself, the gym is the weakest part of the hotel, lacking equipment. Upside is that the equipment they have is very well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. You can download a specific app to have the room card digitally and avoid having to care around an extra card (If you're into that kind of approach) and works perfect. The hotel is at a 5-minute walk from the Train station and has several shops/supermarkets and other useful stuff all around. Fully recommend the hotel for short stays, within a fairly quiet location yet very well connected.

I spent four days in October at the Park Plaza in Utrecht, together with my mother and my brother. The hotel is very central in Utrecht, just a few minutes walk from the Central station itself, and in very close distance to the old town centre of Utrecht as well.

The checkin was nice and uncomplicated. Our room was very clean, with nice interior and enough room for the three of us. There was just one blanket on the double bed provided, but the reception helped us with us with a second one without hesitation. Although the hotel itself is between a busy road and the railroad tracks near the Utrecht Centraal Station and we had a room to the lines of the railway, the room itself was very quiet. The hotel itself is well kept and comfortable, with everything I would expect from a four star hotel.

We enjoyed the breakfast very much. The staff at the breakfast room was wonderful and very hospitable and the breakfast buffet was very nice, with a wide range of fresh bread, meats, cheese, dairy, fruit, meat, eggs, ceareals and more. Perfect for a good start in every day we had there.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant too, and enjoyed it very much. The prices were quite reasonable for the quality of food provided. There could be some more items on the menu, though, especially for people not wishing to have meat (like my mom), like a good salad.

What i´d really like to emphasize is the hotel staff, everyone from the reception, at the breakfast, on the bar - everyone we met, was exceptionally nice, friendly, and most helpful with everything. Everyone made us feel very welcome and very heartfelt so! Wonderful people!

We are looking forward to come back in January, if the Covid situation will allow this. Thank you everyone at Park Plaza for four wonderful days...

For our wedding in Utrecht we wanted to stay at ParkPlaza since it was near the station and had a room with a city view (of the station). Since trains was the theme of our wedding.

We asked the hotel if it was okay to store our luggage the day before and to check in at around midnight. This was all fine. When booking the room we received a clear reservation of the type of room and it said "Credit Card Guarantee - Reservation is guaranteed with a credit card", since we used our credit card.

Our wedding was very nice and afterwards we arrived at the hotel, which had stored our luggage. Then we arrived at the room... A very small room without a city view... And even though we were extremely tired, we didn't sleep well, because of the poor quality mattresses. My borther even had an open ceiling with pipes in his bathroom.

After the breakfast we left for the station for our honeymoon. There we checked our mail. We had received a mail from the hotel in our spam folder on the check-in day.

Apparently, our reservation (note the word 'reservation') was not guaranteed. So making a reservation does not mean you actually reserved anything? Plus, we checked the reservation e-mail, which said it was credit card guaranteed. PLUS, our luggage was already there the previous day. PLUS PLUS we SAID we were coming at midnight.

So I guess we were lucky to get a poor room, ParkPlaza could have just send us away at midnight on our...
