I must say that we were surprised when we pulled into the neighborhood and saw the house that was, at the time we booked, the #1 rated B&B in Christchurch on TA. But the lovely two bedroom suite (as John said, what they have is really more of a home stay...they only have one set of guests at a time so, if you are just one couple like us, you have the use of the full wing (two bedrooms, a large bathroom with a very large two....maybe four :).....person spa tub and an outdoor patio overlooking the beautifully manicured garden). The house itself is set in beautiful gardens in which we could sit, while enjoying the early evening sunshine and a drink before heading out for an evening meal. The house is situated near Northlands Mall & there were restaurants & pub meals just a 5 minute drive way. The double bedrooms and bathroom were very comfortable and extremely clean. The continental breakfast was perfect for us (2 couples). It is also not too far away from the airport. Would...
Read moreEven though we arrived late at night from Australia, our host (John) immediately made us feel welcome and 'put the kettle on' for a late night cuppa! The accommodation was prefect for us (2 couples) and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. We actually returned to Olive House at the end of our trip to once again be warmly welcomed by John whilst sampling some NZ grape juice! Olive House although out of the main CBD, is ideally placed to access the airport and/or to head anywhere north of...
