Have camped here numerous times over the past 45 years or so. Love the view and the birdsong in the morning is good. Robins, tui, bellbirds, tomtits, kingfisher, weka etc... Kea passing overhead. Stayed several days early January. Weather was great, stunning views across the valley to the mountains. Creek was dry at the road bridge but a short walk up the creekbed the water was flowing and disappearing under the shingle. Recommend heading up the Creek to where you find a track crossing it. Take the track on the left heading upstream and you will find a stunning waterfall less than 10mins away... Taking the track to the right takes you to the...

Very nice views, convenient location if you are planning to visit Milford sound the next day - but paying $15pp for a paddock and a drop toilet w/o a tap to fill a saucepan to boil is a bit rough. View from the dunny is...

Basic facilities like a lot of the campsites in the region but is a nice flat spot with a reasonable amount of shelter. Nice views of the surrounding area and far enough away from the road...
