Beachfront Resort — Hotel in North Island

I can't say enough about the location of this hotel.

The views from our 2nd floor room were AMAZING. Blissful morning and evening walks along a shell-strewn beach. Short drive from great dining, grocery store, and nearby adventures.

Additionally, Paul was an excellent source of information for the area. We graciously accepted his offer to use the hotel kayaks, as well as the use of the hotel spades to dig our very own hot tub at the Hot Water Beach.

We were only scheduled for one night; however, after the night quickly passed, we stayed for a second night.

After driving through the town (and nearby towns), the hotel appeared to be the only beach front property in the area - several hotels had a beach view but not direct beach access.

A very good motel, it was just what we wanted and right on the beach as shown, with a beautiful view of the bay from the units at the beachfront, though we were unable to get one of these, being we were a last minute booking. Nevertheless the unit (No. 7) was adequate for our needs, though in my opinion it would be a bit too compact for a family of four. Although it looked out on the street, the traffic noise was not a problem at night. The kitchen was well equipped and kept spotlessly clean with a stainless steel worktop, microwave and touch control hob. The bathroom was well done with very nice white fluffy towels. The location by the beach and the views were stunning: The rooms were clean and well kept and we had a fully equipped kitchenette. The garden area was also very well looked after. There were kayaks and outdoor bbq available as well as laundry services but we did not use these. We did however make use of the hot tub. |The rooms are not serviced daily however I liked this, especially as we were told we could get fresh towels for ourselves if we wanted to. |Paul was very friendly welcoming and helpful, a delightful host and wonderful stay.
