Bulls Motel & Holiday Park — Hotel in North Island

Staff and TV and shower pressure was good. Place needs a update we had to upgrade from a cabin as there was no bedding ,cabin stunk. Holes in curtains . We went into a studio for way to much money them we should of paid. The fuse box switch kept flicking off and leaving us in the dark heaps of times . You had to turn every thing off to run the hairdryer. We had to wash our dishes in the bathroom sink. Cleaners were meant to be in daily and they didn't clean just replaced towels and sprayed. Bugs in microwave , sauce slopped in fridge .Fridge froze food . Bugs behind bedside cabinet and in the windowsills. Cob web on light shade and dust. Toilet filthy and shower dirty on edges mouldy and on ceilings. Had to shower with window open no fan system to take away shower steam . Had to keep heater on 1000 watts had option for 2000 watts but kept flicking switch . Had electric blankets that was good . But will not be recommending this place...

Stayed there twice 1st time we arrived late evening and stayed in unpowered camp site

Number 1 I was met at reception by a very upset unfriendly man I thoughtaybe I disturbed him cause it was late Bathrooms were pretty dirty even though we were the only people there The laundry is dirty with old beds standing in it The kitchen very dusty untidy and also with an old bed inside Needs paint and upgrade from that old horrible plastic stuff Before we left next morning I was greeted by very grumpy man in reception again

Number 2 We stayed there again a week later Arrived at 3pm A very grumpy looking woman was found at reception Bathrooms still dirty as before Just worse now Got pics to proof all

Number 3 The grounds has been kept very neat and tidy It was a pleasure to walk around and relax there

Therefor I will give them 4 stars But for staff and filthy bathrooms and such just...

Such a beautiful relaxing whanau accommodation. My dad and one of my kids booked one room which consisted of a queen bed and single bed. I booked Unit 1, which had 2 single beds available in the loft as well as 2 bedrooms downstairs, a kitchen (including an oven), bathroom a dining set plus fold out couch. I had myself and 4 children. We fit perfectly and would definitely fit a couple more people. |Service upon check in was prompt and friendly. This was close affordable accommodation for us while visiting Ratana Pā. We enjoyed a good swim in the pool, which was just perfect size. A smaller play area around the back with a trampoline. ||My only issue was with another occupant who had parked a big truck along my carpark which meant we had to make our own carpark to get the kids inside. |Not the Motels fault though 😊 ||We will be back next year for our annual visit...
