Country Lodge Kinloch — Hotel in North Island

We stayed in the cottage for two nights and took time to enjoy the cottage and its tranquil location, which we now are happy that we did. ||Bring a nice wine and a good book, Scrabble is already on the shelf. ||Very comfy beds with lovely bedlinen, the place is clean and has everything you’d need.||The cottage is very well set up and almost like coming home, we were even greeted by adorable Mable, the choc Labrador, such lovely company if you enjoy dogs (we did!) and well behaved.||Quick drive to Taupo or Kinloch and close to some neat local galleries and pottery.||A place to come back to for sure for peace...

Christine and Stephen were fantastic hosts, providing beautiful homely accommodation with amazing views of Lake Taupo and surrounding countryside. After a friendly welcome from them and their adorable chocolate Labrador we settled into a spotless and spacious ‘room with a view’. We shared a delicious meal with Christine and Stephen before enjoying a comfortable and peaceful night’s sleep. A wholesome breakfast saw us on our way with the added touch of homemade jams. We were greeted firstly by a beautiful garden and of course the lovely Mabel who immediately stole our hearts.|We stayed in the main house in what I think was called the superior room which treated us with a perfect veiw of the taupo lake and landscape.|The bed was very comfy and I was very happy with the size as I am 6ft.|Breakfast was at 9 as our inviting host Christine let us choose what time would have suited us and of corse this was delicious and fresh.|My only critisism is a fault of my own...that we didnt book to...
