DO READ IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR SAFETY!!!
I was rudely awaken at 2:30am the morning of my last day by a guest of yours that was double booked into my accommodation (he had the same name as me) which I had paid for claiming that he was meant to be staying with me. I do believe this is an error on your part. I’ve clear evidence that I paid for the entirety of the accommodation on my own and was meant to be checking out in the morning by 10am.
I’ve added a screenshot of a photo with a time stamp clearly evidencing that I was indeed woken up and still awake an hour later!
Please kindly ensure this never ever happens again. This is clearly unacceptable especially for me that’s here on business and was needing my sleep for an early day tomorrow.
Also I’m shocked that someone would be checking in at 2:30am! Also if I was a heavy sleeper he could’ve rummaged through my stuff and compromised the security of my belongings.
I trust that you understand that now I can’t sleep because he has a key that matches my room and I’m concerned for my security.
Yeah not really happy at all. Do contact me personally if you would like to address this.
Aside from that the accommodation itself was good for the price point but please do fix your window on the glass door which is partially broken (right hinge doesn’t work) could compromise security for a weary traveller.
On another note parking should be listed clearly as FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!!! OR ONE CAR PER ROOM BOOKING!!!! Had to park my car on my last evening out on the main road as there was no parking. Also as a side note parking is tight like sardines and you’re packed in. If cars weren’t leaving in the morning it’s pretty darn hard to get out, not even to mention getting into a lot. However that’s the least of my worries ^ security I’m sure is keen to...
Read moreWe were on a 12 day trip around Waikato, bay of plenty and Coromandel and stayed in several motels and bnbs. For some reason, when we booked in August, we weren't able to find any accommodation available in Tauranga during new year's except this and the ratings and photos appeared to be great.
It has been quite some time since we have stayed in a place that stands out for all the wrong reasons and even worse, having no other option but to grin and bear it.
As soon as you close the windows, an odour reminiscent of public toilets emanates. If you leave the windows open, more cockroaches will crawl across the kitchenette. If you turn the fan on, dust will fly around the room causing itchy eyes for some. If you're too hot, you're out of luck, there's no air conditioning. If you use the toilet, the lid is missing and the fan turns on and decides on its own when to stop running which could be up to half an hour. If you use the soap dispenser, it detaches from the wall. If you look at the sheets, dandruff, skin cells and stains are visible. If you rest your head on the pillows, they're so flat, it feels like you're sleeping on a single layer of cotton balls. If you open bedside drawers, you might be scared to find what's inside them. If you look around the room, you will see paint chipped off, insect poop and remnants of 3m hooks in confusing places. And if you fall asleep peacefully, you did better than I did, as I was thinking of all the above all night.
If after all that, you still decide to stay here, you need a car to get around as it's on a hill in the suburbs, far from the action.
On the plus side, the greeting from the office was friendly and the shower...
Read moreStayed here for one night, upon check in I was told I was bed #7, but when I went into the dorm the bed still had someone’s name written on the chalk board, as well as the sheets clearly been used. So I took another bunk assuming that one was occupied, and anyone that travels and stays in hostels often knows this happens a lot - usually picking another bed isn’t a big deal. I had put some of my things on the bed, and in front of the bunk. I Went to have a shower, came back to someone else in my bed and all of my things chucked to the other side of the room (Later on realized my water bottle had been thrown and opened making a huge spill for a couple of my bags to be completely soaked, along with the things inside) Confused, I spoke to a man who worked there (or owner, not sure) and he was going on about how these are paid beds and pretty much saying how I wasn’t supposed to be there. I obviously paid for my night, other wise I wouldn’t be there?! This all could’ve been dealt with in a completely different way and throwing my things about the room was completely unnecessary, I only left the room for maybe 10 minutes for all of this to happen.
Besides this incident, the room does not have a lock and there are no lockers in the room to keep any valuables safe. Unless you have a car it’s not in an ideal...
