I stayed here for 5 nights in the single room. It was cozy and had everything you need. The room is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures. The electric blankets were amazing, heater was okay. The hot shower was great, microwave, kettle and fridge was all I needed for my little stay here. I’d suggest bringing your own basic cutlery’s if you’re staying long like me lol. It had an old style look to it but that’s what made it a cozy stay. It’s in a quiet area but can get noisy because it’s off the state highway 1. There’s a park/toilet directly across from the cafe side and Gas stations that close late on the main road side, trains are about 100m from the motel but you don’t hear too much of the trains when it’s passing through. The staff were kind & friendly, Robin was helpful when I booked for a room last minute. Unfortunately when I get back to the motel I miss out on the cafe but the menu and price looked good. Next time round I will definitely be trying it out and will stay here again. Thank you.

Delicious and accommodating!! Last minute had to bring a group of 16 in for fish and chips, the food was not only out within minutes of our arrival (called ahead as to not bombard them) but the fish was fresh, tasty, and delicious and the chips were hot and crisp. Everyone left full and happy. The manager was accommodating and patient with my group, could not ask for a better experience. Highly recommend!!

We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant while taking a break from our road trip. The menu not only offered some gluten free options, but they were also able to substitute the bread for my wife’s sandwich to be gluten free. The food was prepared well, plated beautifully and was delicious! The staff were friendly and the ambiance was clean and welcoming. Thank you!

Stayed one night at the motel with a friend. The rooms are old and the decoration dated, but it was clean and tidy. The room had a double bed and a single bed and there are electric blankets on the bed. Clean towels were rolled up and placed at the end of each bed with a bar of soap. There was a TV, an electric kettle, a microwave and fridge, a heater and an upright fan. There is no cutlery or crockery other than 2 cups and saucers, but I imagine you could borrow some from the cafe if needed. What impressed me most was that although the cafe closes at 4pm, we were told the onsite manager/chef would open the cafe and cook us something from the menu up till 9pm !! We duly contacted him at about 7:45. We ordered by txt and he confirmed that the orders would be available in about 30-35mins. He delivered them to our room and had a portable EFTPOS to allow us to pay. Most impressed. We had the Fish Burger with chips, and the Southern Fried Chicken burger. Very happy with both meals.

Plan on staying again on our next trip...

We stop to have lunch and we look the photos (from 3 weeks ago)and what we can get in this place from google so looks pretty good and when we got the food was absolutely disappointing , they charge 18 dollar por a small burger with no chip or salad on the side no sauce just the small burger, when we ask if is only the burger front pf house told us the menu change just recently and also was cold the bread and the hamburger the staff was helpful but in some point they can do much and the owner or boos wasn’t there was in “Auckland” so no one with authority was there. Can’t complain with the staff working there but the menu is a heist in your face poor quality if you will charge 20 box for a hamburger at least come with sauce on side . I won’t recommend never this place and you should double think your menu and...
