Summary: If it's on your way and you are looking for a good value place to stay with staff that is amazing stop here
Below I will cover Location/Parking, Decor/Atmosphere, Food/Style, Value, Staff, Accessibility, Rooms/Bathrooms. Feel free to skip to the parts you need
Location/Parking:
It's a small town so the location is fairly central and close to major roads to Hastings. Hastings is only 40mins away so might be a good alternative to actually staying in Hastings during busy times
Decor/Atmosphere:
It's old and needs a lot of love thats for sure. But it's got that small town 80s motel/pub vibe that that is still nice
Food/Style:
We arrived late and the peeps there still made us a quick pizza even though technically the kitchen was closed. The Brie, Chicken and Cranberry pizza was really good.
Value:
You def get what you pay for. It's a value motel so dont expect a 5 star hotel but if you consider the price if a room is double of a powered tent site then you have a good deal on your hands.
Staff: OMG where to start. They are amazing. If you think different might be time to revaluate your life ๐คฃ
We arrived after they closed and even though the girls where closing up still opened for us, made us a pizza even though the kitchen was closed, grabbed us some beers and helped us get to our room before they left to go home. Special shout out to Thaila (I propably didn't spell that right?) But seriously she is such a nice person
Accessibility:
Not the best but a wheel chair will manage. I didn't see anything else in terms of accessibility e.g braille
Rooms/Bathrooms:
The room and bathroom were fairly clean. Like I said before the place definitely needs some love. Don't think the owner has done his bit to maintain the place. Some things will just need some hard work and nit...

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by friendly bar staff and a welcoming owner who clearly takes pride in their establishment. The vibe here is spot-on โ it's lively without being overwhelming, and there's always good music setting the mood, both inside and drifting out to the outside courtyard. Speaking of which, the courtyard is a real bonus, offering a great space to relax and enjoy the tunes. For entertainment, The Leopard truly delivers. They boast a good pool table, an old-school jukebox packed with classics, and a solid darts setup, providing plenty of ways to pass the time with friends. And let's talk about the food! The bar meals are not only reasonably priced but absolutely delicious. It's the kind of satisfying pub grub that hits the spot every time. Overall, The Leopard offers a winning combination of great service, entertainment, tasty food, and a truly enjoyable atmosphere. It's quickly become a firm favourite, and I highly recommend it for a...
ย ย ย Read moreWe had an evening meal not in the hotel part, but their restaurant with the outdoor courtyard by the street corner. We started off with fries (really, really good fries!!). Then I ordered a starter, which was also nice but was served on a cold plate (an absolute peeve of mine, and, unfortunately, I often forget to ask for a hot plate, though I shouldn't have to). We were going to order desert (we didn't have a main as we were quite full from the chips), but, honestly, the wait time was pretty bad, and we didn't want to wait for ages for the dessert, too, so we walked to the supermarket and got ice creams. The outdoor area was really rough looking. A little effort and it could be quite nice. The outdoor seats were really hard and uncomfortable. It just seems like they put zero focus on the atmosphere of the place. The girls who served us were really sweet and friendly. Wouldn't eat there again because, though the food was nice, and the ladies were very likeable and friendly, it wasn't worth the wait or the...
