Whitianga Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in North Island

My partner and I stayed with Steve and Debbie for six nights at their wonderful B&B. It was in a great location which allowed us to travel around the Whitianga and the Coromandel Peninsula and check out all the amazing beaches and activities on offer! Steve and Debbie were great hosts - offering valuable advice and recommendations for things to do each day, and so welcoming we often felt like we were staying with family! They were always happy to have a chat and a laugh about the days events, and always on hand with a freshly boiled kettle in the morning. The room and queen bed were clean and comfortable, and we had plenty of fresh towels for our entire stay. We were also offered fresh linen for the bed. We utilised the shared bathroom which was just across the hall from our room and caused no extra hassle sharing with other guests. There was a great variety available every morning for breakfast, the fridge was kept well-stocked with milk, spreads, yoghurt and fruit, as well as plenty of bread and cereals, tea and coffee. We booked a room for 2 nights online and wanted to extend our stay so we called them ahead and Steve was very helpful, offering us another room for the 3 nights. Upon arrival, we got a tour of the house and the beautiful garden. Our ensuite room was large, tidy and clean and had an own bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic, a whole fridge full of fruit, yoghurt, milk and juice, and a selection of toast and cereal. Having breakfast in the sunny garden with all the butterflies around was a fantastic way to start the day. The hosts, Steve and Debbie, were super-friendly, always helpful and funny and we had an awesome stay in Whitianga because of them (thanks to the restaurant & beach recommendations!). Shovels for the Hot Water Beach and beach towels can be borrowed for free.||Parking spaces are available on the property. The center of Whitianga is 5mins away (per car). Stayed here for two nights, Steve the owner was on hand to meet us and show us around, room was a good enough size for the two of us. House was spotlessly clean.Breakfast in the morning was basic but nonetheless enough. Cereals,fruit yoghurt and toast with an array of jams and honeys etc.The accommodation is a short drive from the town centre but as most people will be arriving by car theres no problem. My partner took unwell on the day we were leaving. Steve couldn't be more helpful. He gave us numbers for doctors surgery, allowed us to use his personal phone and let us stay past our check out time. All in all it was a good stay here.and I would recommend it.||Try the spa along the road from B&B, its awesome and the foods...
