Coro Club - Café & Venue — Restaurant in Waikato

Pretty disappointed tbh. Ordered chicken wrap 2 coffees and the waffles.

Asked three times for the sticky messy table to be wiped down and it never happened, I did it myself.

Chicken wrap in the window was different than the chicken wrap we were served, had to swap it. Which at least they did without fuss.

Was told my waffles with banana and bacon would be 30 minutes. ended up waiting for nearly an hour and then realised they were just never going to make it and so got a refund and left.

Granted they were busy, but noticed they totally missed parts of other people's meals too. I've seen plenty of city cafes run more professionally with half the number of staff. Sort out your systems guys, "we were busy" excuse doesn't fix a really poor experience.

There is something very relaxing about sitting on the outside deck watching the world go by - well, the aircraft at least - on a pleasant autumn day. All whilst awaiting your much anticipated lunch, namely Lambs Fry and Bacon.

This was my first visit to the Coro Club and it was much anticipated because of that menu item. It seems to rarely appear on menus nowadays even though when done right it can make a very tasty, wholesome meal. This cafe does it very much right and it is vastly better than the last time I had Lambs Fry many years ago, coincidentally also in Whitianga. This was possibly even better than the Lambs Fry we used to get regularly from my mother.

We came here as a group of 8 and managed to get a table right away, took a little while to order at the counter as they had to check everyone’s vaccine passes but the staff were super friendly taking our orders as quickly as they could.
