Alpine Views Burkes Pass — Hotel in South Island

Alphine Views is really good if you are looking to staying at Lake Tekapo, if you do not mind the drive. It is a 17KM drive from Burkes Pass to Lake Tekapo. One thing good about this apartment is the silent and dark environment - this is an advantage if you are here to stargaze at night. No need to squeeze with other people to get shots of the Milky Way, as this place get pitch black once you turn off the lights in the house. There are still some light pollution over at Lake Tekapo from the houses there. Here you get all the sky to yourself. We stayed in the cottage with some American clients to break up our driving and it was an absolutely stunning little cottage! Its had everything you needed and more! Our beds were soo comfy, really modern layout, furniture and decorations.. The attention to detail, for example, they had cookie in the cookie jars, cooking oil (which NOWHERE ever has), fully equipped kitchen with brand-new everything..
