Kaka Point Views — Hotel in South Island

Update: 2025/06 Nothng has changed and thats a fabulous thing. Kaka Point views is a clean, comfortable and welcoming stay. A great view means that sitting back and relaxing is all you need to do. 4 years after our first stay (with several in between) the accomodation still feels fresh, new, and very clean with remarkably few blemishes visible. The host clearly has significant pride in their property and offering. Staying for Matariki, we were warm with lovely cosy bedding and warm throws for the couches possibly keeping us too warm :). The heat pumps keeps the whole appartment warm (or cool in summer). The Wifi is great to keep you connected if that is your thing. Kaka Point views is our go to place for a few relaxing nights away for our family or as a base to explore the Catlins over a longer stay. Highly Recommended.

Amazing! Views, Cosy, Clean and comfortable. What a fabulous place. The hosts have tastefully decorated the place and has everything needed. Wow this place is awesome. Loved our 3nights down frm Nth Island. Had friend recently moved to Southland also rented the studio unit next door so ideal for a reunion but gave our groups each own space. They as a family I'm sure will book our 2bed unit again soon. The view is mesmerising, unit is sunny, warm, modern, clean, well equipped, quick walk to beach and restaurant bar cafe. The perfect base for exploring Catlins. The accommodation itself was unbelievable with simply stunning views, it was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. Unfortunately only one thing let it down, this unit was one of two and with the walls being so thin we heard everything from the other unit which sadly happened to be kids screaming, crying and being generally loud from 6am until 11pm... so not the best sleep. I would still highly recommend but maybe check who your potential...
