Lake Brunner Country Motel & Holiday Park — Hotel in South Island

What a gorgeous campground (and i've stayed in plenty)! Pulled in here for one night whilst campervanning the South Island didn't really want to leave. Parklike setting with loads of trees and native birds. The wekas come visiting at dinner time which is entertaining. There is a room full of games and toys for the kids - table tennis, badminton, petanque and even an outdoor pool table right beside the fire pit. The owners were super helpful and very friendly. Lake Brunner is a stunning area and it would be tempting to stay in town with views of the lake but i highly recommend getting out of town to this...

Beautiful tranquil place to stay, clean and staff were very nice and helpful. We stayed in motel unit only the two of us. The problem was that there are no couches or easy chairs. The Queen bed very soft and need to sit on it to watch tv or on dinning room chairs not very comfortable. Only one very small mirror in bathroom. Heater on timer very noisy at night, clicks away, there was no where to hang clothes in bed rooms. Remembered we had stayed there before there were 4 of us, found it a bit to small in kitchen dining/lounge area with queen bed in it. Sliding door to bathroom...

absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Exactly as described on web site, Elegance and simplicity personified in a fabulously relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful cabins well appointed with everything you could possibly need, immaculately clean, private and quiet, hosts were friendly and welcoming. Went to a lovely local Bistro overlooking Lake Brunner and only 2 minutes drive from the motel. Food was delicious and service fantastic. Will definitely stay there in the future and for a much longer time as was so relaxing.
