Very nice townhouse style accommodations. Design and amenities would suit the colder months (mudroom, heated flooring and fireplace). Place was quite warm during November, but aired out nicely and was never uncomfortable. Doesn't seem to be active cooling, so summer might be interesting.
Apartments are not free standing. Appeared to be four to a block (two 2 bedrooms in the middle and two single bedrooms on the outside - we think). This means windows only on front and back of accommodation, which makes it quite dark. Again, would suit winter. Kitchen well equipped. Bathrooms great. Lovely little courtyards and some great views of the mountains.
Easy access to Wanaka village and the lake (and walk to that Wanaka tree). Nice surrounds with what seems a mix of holiday accommodation and retirees. All well appointed. Locals are lovely. Feels very safe. Decent playground close by. Older kids would be fine to run around.

Read moreThey should drop “luxury” from their name because it was definitely not “luxury” or a 5-star apartment. After travelling around New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and America, I would say this is a 3-star apartment at best. Negatives: No slippers No bathrobes No vanity mirror No Wi-Fi reception in the living room just the bedroom Spare towels are hidden away in the broom cupboard Only 1 spare toilet roll Electric blanket on one side of the bed not working on the low setting The owner was rude and was not interested in solving our car parking problems whereby someone had occupied our park The mattress is springy/bouncy Blinds and curtains are not great – let in heaps of light No welcome treat (small chocolate etc) for a 5-star hotel
Positives: Clean Good gas fireplace Great hot water/pressure in the shower Nice carpet Good size walk-in robe with hangers supplied Close to Lake Wanaka
Overall, I would not recommend this place...
Read moreThe loft apartment was very spacious, well decorated, clean and had great amenities and facilities. The kitchen had a bar fridge, microwave, full cutlery and crockery, and a portable hot plate if needed. The queen bed was very comfortable and felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The heaters had the whole apartment nice and toasty on those 1-2 degree nights. The water pressure in the shower was nice and strong. Heated towel rails was a nice luxury touch. ||Location was really great and it was really quiet and peaceful. So close to Roy’s Peak (7 minutes) and to the Wānaka town centre (3 minutes) by car. That Wanaka Tree was literally 1 minute away from us. ||Nicola handled our booking and her communication was superb. Alex looked after us from check in and gave us plenty of tips for hiking/tramping in the Wanaka area. It was a really comfortable and...
