Upon arrival I checked into an executive double (as there were no standard rooms available.) The room was rather dim but cool, clean, spacious with a separate lounge area to relax in. The ceiling was decorated with a lovely pop (plaster of Paris) design, I had a desk, mini fridge and the door had an electronic key card. The bed was queen size UK standard, electricity was constant and I slept well.||||Downers;||1) The AC unit was rather noisy so it may be difficult for you to sleep with it on, if you are a light sleeper. ||2) The water pressure in the bathroom was far too low, so I had a drizzle shower.||||The next day I moved to a standard room and boy was I in for a surprise.||The new room was also dimly lit and was located in what appeared to be an older side of the building. The key was an ordinary door key with double lock. ||The ceiling was old, box like and had several cracks and holes. My bathroom was substandard with exposed plumbing works and cement. There was also a large gap under the bathtub so Its no surprise that I had cockroaches running around the room every few minutes. I informed the hotel staff who denied having a cockroach problem. They sent staff to 'fleet' the room i.e come up with insecticide and spray around the room.... I think this only irritated the cockroaches further as I saw more after this. ||||The continental breakfast (which is included with each booking) consists of toasted bread and tea. This is nowhere near 'continental' so the term is misleading. ||In terms of customer service I experienced too much variation. Staff are sometimes helpful and at other times are not.|| Despite the fact that a member of laundry staff burned my jumpsuit, I was still chastised for payment. ||With the weekend came a resident DJ turning the hotel into a full fledged bar/club, the loud music continued well into the early hours. After a terrible nights sleep I checked out on Sunday afternoon.||||Overall I would not stay at this hotel again because I had several issues which were not resolved promptly, I also don't appreciate staff lying that the plumbing in my bathroom was 'just freshly opened that day and the plumbers where coming tomorrow to close it.' Of course it was not a new plumbing job and yes you guessed it no one came to close it.||If your in the area and just happen to have no choice but to stay here choose an executive room. If you are happy to have a bucket bath and stay up late into the night counting cockroaches choose a...

Why should I even give 1 star? My room wasn’t that clean at all. The floor has dirt. The bathroom was the worst, just very dirty looking with a spider on the toilet and spider webs and stinky. The water was coming out slowly and the water heater didn’t even work. Mold and mildew everywhere. I didn’t use the bathroom except to brush and pee. Just very unsanitary. When I checked out, I had to wait until I travelled all the way back home to bath. Breakfast was tea and bread and it was almost like they went to Ikeja to get it before it was given to me. The power switch is by the light switch so you would get confused and turn it off and wake up in the morning with a non charged phone and devices and the television went so loud at one moment and when I tried to reduce the volume the buttons didn’t work so I just switched the power off. Even the room and bathroom had open holes in the walls where you can see metal and cords in several spots and that’s very dangerous. This hotel is just so overrated. Old dirt and dust along the length of the wall of the room floor. Most of the good reviews are about the lounge and not the actual rooms. The a/c was from the 80’s but it was ok and I didn’t get bit by any mosquitoes. Las las, the BEST part about the hotel was leaving it! Never again. They could really do better. Anyways…it...

As someone who travels alot and have used so many hotels, I dare say this is the worst I have ever used. I stayed for 2 nights and it kept getting worse and I had to checkout and find my way the following morning. Day 1: Water heater wasn't working, water wasn't running at all, no remote to control AC, intercom wasn't working so I had to travel down to the ground floor from the 2nd floor to speak to reception everytime. Day 2: Every single thing that happened in the day 1 plus they fumigated in the middle of the night and I almost choked from the smell. Had to run from the room and when I wanted to go back to my room, reception wasn't there to activate my key card, all efforts to get them proved futile so I sat at the reception for like 2 hours before I could get them. Following morning I missed a very important 7am appointment because there was no water running, they said they were focused on fumigation so they forgot to pump water.

This is a nightmare for me and I hope you all don't fall victim. Stay clear.

I stayed in...

The two stars being that the hotel exists, polite staff, covid 19 measures and tasty restaurant meals and security . It needs upgrades. Walls aren't looking good, my initial beddings had cigarette burns, wardrobe was dusty, visible piping in the shower dusty, sink tap looked funny, floor drain was an eyesore, bucket provided was not clean, blinds on bathroom window was ewww. Generally I'd say no attention to detail in the room. Looking off the balcony a roofing sheet, probably a side corridor with all the hotel junk(from used condoms to plastic waste and what not)thrown from above, no joy in standing at the balcony. Realising the dust I imagined what would be happening in the AC filters. Professional cleaners need to be here, alot of status quo needs to be changed. I mean the edifice is magnificent but not being harnessed in its full potential.
