ATTENTION MANAGEMENT AND DUTCH/FOREIGN TOURISTS!!! Gone downhill BIG TIME. i am a regular customer 5 years now. This was my last visit. Staff is BRUTAL in every department. Absolutely brutal!!! And you call yourselves 5 star!!! Complete joke!
We arrived in the rain, got soaked walked from car to reception since you cannot offload your car near the entrance because there is a ramp on the road closing it. 10min later a bus came and they opened the ramp for him. What is this nonsense??
Rooms were not ready on their 1400 check in time. We were given keys and told go there in 5min. Cleaning woman had the nerve to raise her voice AT US because she was not done cleaning our overpriced room on time. They rushed even though we gave another half hour waiting like fools in the lobby and the room ofcourse was left dirty. Nobody offered us a free drink while we waited or an apology. This is 1 star service
Killed a cockroach in the hallway near my room, walked over several disgusting blood stains in the hallway near the 2100 room floor. In the room, there are 2 miniature light bulbs in the bathroom and one was broken so you couldnt see anything. Above bed there are two bulbs and one was broken.
Breakfast food is good, but staff is nonsense and they leave the forks and knives hidden OUTSIDE on the patio behind a wall so literally every person every morning has no idea where they are. Either prepare the tables or put the forks near the food!!! This is common sense people!!!
The room keys failed 3 times in 3 days. Reception "reprogrammed" them twice once and made us go try them and they didnt work again. Had to raise my voice several times to receive service, this is embarassing and ruins a vacation. Absolutely ridiculous.
I reserved 14 rooms roughly 3 months in advance and i had to BEG Spiro to return my emails. It took days and days to receive return emails. When i arrived we received rooms in the 2100 floor which is "lake view" but it faces trees. Someone else received all the good rooms on 3100 floor even though i booked long before anybody.
When i arrived Menche tried to make me pay for all 14 rooms immediately which is absolutely ridiculous. Are you crazy? After the service i received it is lucky i paid you at all, i just wanted to get the hell out of there.
Aquapark is nice but i see this year nobody is cleaning anything until the end of the day, food and drinks 5x overpriced from the city, small shop near pool is 200 denars for a bag of chips while at a real store it is 50 denars. Food area by the pool was closed at 1530 meanwhile the sign said they are open until 1800.
I could go on and on. Someone spent the money on this place and now there is ZERO MANAGEMENT and the staff is brutal with their attitude and their lack of service. You will never see another euro from me or my friends or anyone i ever meet!!!
Fix yourselves before you go completely oit of business! The planeloads of dutch tourists are reading these reviews and will go elsewhere!
The only 2 people that really helped me out are NAUM the bellhop, he is a true professional and worked very hard showing everybody the rooms, helping move bags, directing people, load and unload. Make this guy a real manager now!!
Biljana was extremely friendly and tried to help me but she told me that she has a room with a real view in the wing i asked, gave me the key, had Naum show us the room, then she told us it was a mistake and it belonged to someone else.
Spiro greeted me in albanian which, to be honest, annoyed me. This is Macedonia, and you are a hotel of international guests. Either speak Macedonian, or English, or say something like "Hello, Zdravo, Bonjour" or whatever they say in albanian. There are some albanian customers so it is a benefit to have albanian language employees like him, but i felt like he had another motive to speak in albanian first.
Overall this place is run like a village room rental even though it is a world class location and building. Without the support staff you...
Read moreNice place, awful managment Let me begin with a good things first. Hotel is located at the beautifil location, on the lake within the forest and mountains. There is a beach with some facilities and cute park. Very nice spa. Aquapark is cool with almost no queues. The people at the services were kind and smiling. The rooms and the food are meh but something you can live with. BUT there are things that managed the way that just don't respect the customers. I'll give only some examples . As I said the place is in the forest and there is nothing near. So this is the way they take advantage - at the entrance it's written "forbidden to bring your food and beverages". At the bathroom it's written "not drinking water"(5 stars hotel !) So there is a market where you can buy some sort of things and food. You expect to find a water there, right ? THe answer is no. THere is only one place you can buy a water - the bar. And the price is - 2 EURO for small 0.7l bottle !!! Very bad attitude ! IF the hotel can't provide drinking water in the room' it should give the customer an opportunity to buy a cheap water in a big bottles. One more example. We stayed there 5 nights and at 4 of them there were a very loud weddings with music and drums untill 2 am just opposite to our window! We were with 3 small kids and they couldn't sleep. At the lobby I've got polite "this is our contract and managment desicion". This is a hotel with aquapark, there are a lot of families staying there. How dare you ? There are a lot of issiues of safety and accessibility at the hotel and the aquapark, including step INSIDE the babys pool . You can't see it out of water so there are injuries there all the time. there are some places as a snack bar you just can't get without a lot of steps . It was a challenge with a stroller. Only small part of the aquapark is non sleep , so they put tissues on some spots and looks pretty bad. All the place around baby's pool is very slippery. We stayed there and saw a lot of people falling. Snack bar is just a joke . There is a pizza and burgers ang the queue takes about 40-50 minutes ! I asked the guy there why they don't add more people in the kitchen and he told me the owner doesn't want to pay more salaries . If You can live with these things, maybe you will enjoy. We were...
Read moreWe just got back from this hotel. At first, we were very excited about coming here, mainly because of the aquapark and all the fun activities. We got a really nice room with a beautiful view. It was a little bit challenging to find the room, the spa, lobby etc, because of the concept of the hotel but as days went by we got used to it. The spa was good actually even tho we just went once. We had breakfast there and 2 out of the 3 times we had to wait really long to be served and they forgot about our food. It was cold and I don't think it was that tasty. The only good thing was the omelette which still was just average.
Now the reason I gave 1 star
We were really excited about the aquapark, so I went down every slide. They were okay but I loved the green one. So the first day we came we couldn't go down the slides because it was raining. The next few days I went nonstop. So, Tuesday comes by and we feel really bad pain in our stomachs. We first didn't think much of it but then we all started throwing up. EVERY 30 MINUTES. We had diarrhea and it was terrible. The doctor that is,, available" 24/7 wasn't available on the phone so they didn't care. At 1 o'clock (past midnight) we needed to go to the city hospital. There were a lot of people from the hotel. Several rooms from the hotel were infected by the stomach virus. So we all had to have infusion so we don't dihydrate. It was really bad. The next day it was really bad so I got back to the hospital and had 2 more infusions. My friend stayed at the hotel and for the first time the staff was really helpful. They gave us more time to pack our stuff and leave which we really appreciated. This was the worst stomach virus experience that we have had. The doctors and the nurses are nearly sure that it is from the aquapark and so do we think. It is a common think to catch a stomach virus in the area of the Ohrid Lake, but we didn't swim at all there, we just went to the aquapark, which clears a lot of things up. I reapat : SEVERAL ROOMS WERE INFECTED BY THE...
