We flew up from Oslo to spend a few nights in a cabin here & having been assured the kitchen had an oven, stopped at a supermarket on the outskirts of Bodo to pick up provisions (including some food to be cooked in an oven). When we arrived, however, the cabin had no oven!! After some "discussion" we were given the keys to another cabin which did have an oven... but no water so we could not stay in it! (So we were cooking in one cabin then rushing the food to the other where we were living.) This after arriving to discover the cabin had no bedding - it was not mentioned either on the hotel website or during a conversation via email that guests were expected to bring their own bedding or pay an extra charge to have it provided. Nor had the hotel staff checked that the previous occupants had cleaned the cabin (another requirement) as we found tomato ketchup smeared across the windows and the decked entrance.|That being said, the cabin, although basic, was certainly adequate & quite...

Needs some love and a few ideas . |Arrived late and had travelled for thirteen hours . We acknowledged to the reception that we did not expect the kitchen to be open but did they have anything to eat . We were offered one bag of crisps and one small pack of peanuts between seven people . As there is nothing nearby we then asked May we have a beer ? We were duly served but then asked to vacate the common areas as they had to lock up! |Originally our party had booked for three nights . Suffice to say we stayed for one and paid several hundred pounds extra to relocate elsewhere . |It’s clean enough but fairly basic . It could be so much more with the right attention to detail . Just the addition of a vending machine would be an improvement . No water or coffee in the rooms either ....
