Quality Hotel Pond — Hotel in Sandnes

⭐️ Warm, Welcoming, and Exactly What I Needed ⭐️

I had to stay at this hotel for two nights because my van completely broke down and had to be towed to the workshop next door. Stranded with my luggage and my dog, I was in a tough spot — but Cristina and the rest of the team made everything so much easier.

They kindly let me check in early, which was a huge relief. Instead of sitting outside on the street with all my things and my dog, I could settle into the room and start to relax. That kindness meant a lot.

What really surprised me was how they treated my dog. They didn’t just give me a bowl — they actually provided dog food, which I’ve never experienced at a hotel before. Everyone there seemed genuinely happy to have him around, and that made me feel even more welcome.

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and friendly. Whether it was someone at reception, in the kitchen, or just passing by, every person I met was kind and helpful.

It was a difficult situation, but staying here gave me the chance to rest, recharge, and feel hopeful about continuing my trip once my van was fixed. It felt a bit like being at home, surrounded by friends, and not a stranger in a foreign country.

Staff are absolutely brilliant. |Good location, handy for local offices|Great food, both breakfast and evening meal.||I've been working for a local company for the last few weeks, decided to give this hotel a try due to its location, short walk to work.||Staff have been brilliant, have really enjoyed my stays at the hotel. They've created a great friendly atmosphere, which is really appreciated at the start and end of the day.|Very helpful with any queries i've had, with shopping etc, as well as travelling into Stavanger.||Restaurent has been great, both for breakfast and evening meal. Discussing and advising on the menu, especially with the Norweigan cuisine such as Riskrem, which i really enjoyed. I do have concerns with eating when i'm away, as i'm diagnosed with heart failure, with my heart pumping blood at a reduced level. When i've eaten the wrong food in the past, i've ended up in hospital with blue hands and feet. My recent stay at the Pond Hotel was a pleasant one, making it a strong contender for future business trips in the area. What stood out was the friendly and helpful service. From check-in to check-out, the staff made sure I had a comfortable stay.

For those looking to maintain their fitness routine while traveling, the hotel boasts a decent gym, which was a definite plus.

While the Pond Hotel's location might be considered a bit out of the way, it proved to be conveniently close to many major businesses and their offices.

Breakfast was exactly what I've come to expect from the Clarion chain – a solid, standard offering that gets the job done.

Overall, I would happily stay at the Pond Hotel again for a business trip. My only minor gripe is the on-site restaurant, The Social. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the chain, and unfortunately, the immediate surrounding area offers limited dining alternatives.

However, this wasn't a deal-breaker, and the hotel's positives outweighed this one...
