Biltema Café — Restaurant in Stavanger

We were on our way to a gas station so I could buy a bacon wrapped cheesedog and a bacon cheeseburger, so when I saw that this cafe sells them too, I decided to try it here. My son tried the Biff Stroganof. We both liked our meals and thought that they were very tasty. The only problem I have with them is that they told my son that they were "making an exception" because it was 18:01 but they usually quit selling dinners at 18:00. So if you want a dinner, you can't get one if you arrive within the last two hours each night, between 18:00 and 20:00. .

. I went back and ordered a Tex Mex Dinner. I was quite disappointed with it. These meals are not something that they prepare for you when you order. Each individual portion of each meal is in a warmer bin, which makes me suspicious as to how long they have been there. Are they fresh? or have they been sitting there for 2 or 3 days? . The Tex Mex was just a serving of Chili con Carne (which, in Spanish, means Chili with meat). It was very dry and tasteless. Whenever they made it, they forgot to add any of the Mexican spices that give it its flavor. It's also supposed to be saucy, like a soup but this was so dry, it was far from saucy. Was it in the bin, over the warmer for so long that it had evaporated and dried up? There was a scoop of very dry mashed potatoes with nothing on them, no gravy, not even butter, and the clerk says that they don't have any individual butter or butter substitutes to give out. The steamed vegetables, (broccoli, carrots, and squash) tasted ok. I was not impressed...

Tok en lunsj der med jobben. Bestilte trøffelburger menyen. Ble veldig positivt overrasket av kvaliteten på burgeren. Den var veldig god. Anbefaler å prøve trøffelburgeren. Pommes frites var rifla og som forventet, vanlig gatekjøkken pommes frites. Godt utvalg av tilsetninger ved disken. Bestilte kaffe, kanelbolle og softis til dessert. Alt i alt et godt måltid til den prisen. Det kan jobbes med å gjøre interiøret litt mer koselig. Føles litt...
