Intercity Hotel Nizwa — Hotel in Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate

It was good experience for me trying Intercity Hotel Nizwa which is a brand-new hotel located at the entrance of Wilayat Nizwa and ability to reach within one hour and a half from Muscat with wide and nice roads to reach. Lots of parking’s for the people staying at the hotel as well as a walking distance from Nizwa Grand Mall where you could go and do shopping, have coffee or food, walk around and even enjoy some of the activities they do there sometimes. Plus, a water park just behind the hotel which you go and spend wonderful time enjoying different type of adventures slides for adults and designated areas for kids to have fun. the hotel is in the middle of the town, that’s why you won’t find pretty views to look at but the atmosphere of the hotel is really nice and calm rooms. I liked the breakfast with variety of options although the restaurant is a bit small for the amount of people visiting the hotel. I guess they didn’t anticipate many people would come jajajajaja something I liked as well that many Omanis working there which makes the stay specially in Nizwa wonderful who could suggest to you where to go and what to plan if you have no idea. However, it is very close from the historical fort of Nizwa and the famous old suq there where you can go and spent the whole day and might need to go back again. I had an issue with the check in team Ayman and the other person. I booked a room in advance, and put a special request to have an additional bed for myself, because the 2 beds will be occupied by my mom and sis. While checking in at 11:30 pm the team informed me that they don’t have a folding bed for me, nor mattress, nothing.

That was quite a surprise since I really needed some good sleep for me after many hours driving the car.

Now, the team started to blame another team that did not transfer my request to them. They tried to put me in charge saying oh because you booked through Booking. In fact, I booked directly via their website, and I have stayed here a couple of times before.

Now it’s 11:50 pm, I don’t have bed, mattress, any bedding, nothing. I would recommend considering other options nearby if you...

This is the best property in Nizwa for quality, service and location. Rooms are large and spacious with comfortable bed, large bathroom, super clean and well maintained. I had room with city view, overlooking the parking lot. It doesn’t matter as we were a biker group went there to celebrate Oman national day! We were welcomed with traditional Omani scarfs, coffee, dates, fruits sand halwa! They have great staff, local Omani staff as well as expats, all of them were super busy but still had beautiful smile on their faces engaging with each and every guests.
