HAMDAN PLAZA HOTEL SALALAH, an HTG Hotel — Hotel in Dhofar Governorate

Viewing the earlier reviews, I was doubtful on the conditions I would experience with the hotel services but it was a pleasant surprise. We got an early check-in at 11.00 am and the room was a huge double room for 3 persons with dining table and corridor inside the room. Also, the request for late check out was accepted for 1 pm. Pros- Huge room. Room was tidy and daily cleaning was provided. Bellhop server was polite and served us for the luggage transfer to room. Tooth brush, shaving kit, shampoo and soaps were provided even though it was a 3 star. Swimming pool was clean with 3 sections (kids area, normal swimmers & advance swimmers). Breakfast was good with limited items and some changes on daily main items (1st day puri, 2nd day chole Batura, 3rd day Upma) with fruits, salads, bread, arabic items, tea coffee and one juice. Free transfer via mini bus was provided to the airport. Cons- Bathrooms were spacious but looked outdated- Maintenance required. No lifeguard at pool but a person is just sitting and watching. Also pool towels were limited since members of the health club were also using the pool and gym. Juice provided in breakfast needs a change.

Would recommend the hotel management to update the breakfast especially the fruits which were same throughout. Should include the local fruits e.g. Coconut which are grown locally...

The Hamdan Plaza Hotel has a multi-cuisine restaurant “Lou Lou A”. Guests can enjoy the elaborate buffet breakfast every day and international cuisine, with an Asian experience in the evenings. The Facilities at the Hamdan include a health club, tennis court, squash court, table tennis. a billiards table, a snooker table, steam room, sauna room and a large outdoor pool with sun terrace. It also features AlMasa Hall with a 400 person capacity, ideal for wedding parties, conferences, and large banquets. Free on-site private parking is available and free WiFi throughout...

I stayed at the Hotel for 4 nights.. the hotel is a multi storey building with extraordinarily large rooms best for family members but for solo travelers it was humongous. The reception staff is very humble and very accommodating. They understand the guest and provide an excellent service. They however lack a couple of services which need immediate attention for improvement. The room service is not available and whenever we call we are directed towards the restaurant which is not very positive of the staff. The house keeping was not provided on a daily basis as it should have been... The chiller unit was turned off so it caused sleepless nights and discomfort...if they make a guest stay comfortable then we are happy but the hotel management should pay attention to the details... Also the room amenities should improve...(unsealed items, fungus ridden toothbrush etc) .... And lastly the repairs work overhead causing head hammering sound from morning until the late evening...was a horrible...
