Hotel Internacional de Colón — Hotel in Barrio Sur

As nice as a hotel can get in a place like Colon, which isn't saying much, unfortunately. But the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, and the lounge is nice - if there aren't idiots screaming on their cell phones, that is, which is likely impossible to avoid. I had to deal with some fat old man absolutely SCREAMING into his phone, like this was 1920 and the phone had just been invented....However, the rooms were nice and there's a good selection of TV channels, which is important in a place like Colon, as you may not want to walk these streets too much.... ||||Unfortunately, I must mention that on both mornings (don't make a mistake and stay more than one night in Colon, BTW), the cleaning staff WALKED RIGHT INTO MY ROOM! Even though I screamed out NO both times before she entered... The second time, the lady actually stood there and stared at me, seemingly surprised that there were guests in the hotel..?? The lady at the front desk was like "why didn't you tell me that they did that?" and I was like "I need to tell you not to enter occupied rooms???" ||||So yeah, make your own 'do not disturb' sign, because they're not...

Located on the high street not far from the bus stop. Very clean rooms. The staff are extremely helpful and will give advise as to where to go and where to avoid. Raul the manager is one of the best we have come across. His goodwill and conviviality were exceptional. I am very surprised that this is marked as a 2* hotel on Google , definitely a 3+*. A wonderful vacation spot weather its for lcal stau as myself for the national holidays not to have to hit the roads or for an apartment since their is all available such as doctors office stores laundry maths bakery the free zone public transpertation the market so on and so forthh the staff was definitely attentive and quite helpful in all including the owners where as though we were all family caring for all patrons i their hotel I would definitively recommend this hotel and TRUST me ita not only for the prive its for the safety we felt being two good looking women||||Un maravilloso lugar de vacaciones es para personas locales como yo para las fiestas nacionales para no tener que salir a la carretera o para un apartamento, ya que todo está disponible, como consultorios médicos, tiendas, lavandería, matemáticas, panadería, la zona franca, transporte público, el mercado, etc. El personal fue definitivamente atento y bastante servicial en todo, incluidos los propietarios, donde como si todos fuéramos familiares cuidando a todos los clientes en su hotel.
