Hospedaje Los Lirios Chitré — Hotel in Herrera

Small, no frills lodging with the lowest prices without being a hostel. I chose this place because it was the only option with availability during the first weekend of the fair in nearby Azuero. For just thirty-three dollars I got the smallest room with a fan but no air conditioning. The fan worked fine and I felt comfortable at night. The room, restroom and shower were clean and presentable. The only issue is that the lock on to my door would not lock all the way. I could turn the knob only less than halfway closed. But it stayed closed, nonetheless. Overall this is a very respectable place considering the low price. You can pay a bit more for a room with air conditioning.

The lobby is very quiet, clean and feels secure. There is an interior patio with seats and table for eating. There is also a kitchen that customers can use. They give you three keys to open the front door, the back door to the parking lot, and to your room. Interesting thing is that this is not a hotel, motel, hostel, inn, or lodge. If I had to choose, the closest would be perhaps a motel. I never got the name of the young man at the concierge. He was seriously a very pleasant and professional person to deal with.

The area outside feels safe even at night. Located in the center of town, many things are within walking distance. I do not advise spending a Sunday in town, though. Most places are closed and you will be left without much to do. Even the nearby...

Trouvé au hasard cet établissement nous a ravi, en plein centre vile avec ses commerces, bars et restaurants (une fonda (petit restaurant local) pas chère et bonne juste derrière et une boulangerie pâtisserie sur le devant!!! un must quoi!)). Sinon la chambre est de belle surface, une salle de bain fonctionnelle, une climatisation qui fonctionne, très bonne literie, une télé avec nombre de chaînes, une cuisine en commun qui rend service avec réfrigérateur pour la fraîcheur de vos boissons ou autres. L'accueil tout en espagnol vous met dans le bain, le patio intérieur avec son salon et son mobilier un grand plus, c'est très propre et le logement pas cher du tout pour cette qualité! endroit calme aussi.
