Hotel Marino — Hotel in Isla Grande

This hotel has a small beach, clean and nice, and is located about 5-10 minutes walk from the nicer, larger beach on the point. The owner is great--right there to greet us, let us check in early, and then leave our bags on the day we checked out. Friendly and wonderful service! But, for me, the rooms were uncomfortable. No hot water--as in, not that the water did not get hot, but there is no hot water at all. No shelves, no dresser, not a desk to set things out. Just a bed and the floor. No way to clean off your feet and no broom to sweep--no mat at the door to even wipe your feet or sandals, so sand is everywhere, including the beds. I had kids with me and this made it pretty miserable in the room. This place would have been great when I was 18 and just wanted a place to sleep. The owner was very helpful, but he did not have much to offer other than his kindness and some very basic accommodation. Each room's furnishing includes beds and sheets, that is about it. Bathroom does not seem clean, everything needs maintenance. The stairs to go up to the upper floors are so steep it's dangerous, AC is either too cold or you are hot all night with fan. Location is far from the nice beaches, in a village that has not much to offer (other than a couple of OK restaurants). For $75/room/night I do not recommend...

Nous avons passé 2 nuit dans cet hôtel très sale, les gérants ne sont pas très serviable ni bien présentés. Nous avons payé 268 € pour ces deux nuits dans de petites chambres dont les lits n'étaient pas faits et la douche froide. Le petit déjeuner est servi sur une table sale sans set et il est composé de seulement 2 tranches de pain de mie, une omelette très mal cuite et un verre de jus d'orange.
