Hotel Gran David — Hotel in Nuevo Santiago

Highly recommended! This hotel did NOT let us down. It's very nice from inside and out. Excellent customer service from all the reception employees. This hotel has an elevator and 2 upper levels. The restaurant staff are very friendly and have good customer service too! Even the security guard was very nice and he watches your vehicle to make sure it's safe. This hotel is not for everyone in Panama. If you're looking for under $50 per day cheap hotel than this is not for you! Business and Professional people enjoy this luxury hotel. Beautiful rooms and best in Panama! They costs about $75-$100 and gets you a beautiful clean air-conditioned room, a nice bed for two, hot shower and free wifi, and restaurant is near the lobby, ask reception about the free breakfast included options. Again, the rooms were clean, the shower pressure was excellent, idk but I'm guessing the water must be filtered or super clean because I smelt no bleach and my eyes did not burn, skin was not dry after showering. The tv has 25 or 30 channels of news and HBO movies, the restaurant foods were hot and fresh and we enjoyed the flavors & quality. If the Staff keeps smiling and the food keeps quality more people will come and spread the news about this wonderful hotel. and yes they have a nice swimming pool. Grab some coffee, tea, drinks and enjoy your stay. (Diplomats, military, foreigners & other specialty VIP jobs may get discount price to stay here depending on your i.d.) Beds were clean and comfortable. We will come back again in the future!👍 Water fountain is awesome when they turn it on. 👍 These beautiful cats are definitely the hotels good luck, we will return and see them...

Pros|-family room was very large and comfortable for $70 |-very nice Queen beds|-nice varanda|-very friendly front desk|-nice bottled water in the room||CONS|-AWFUL AWFUL restaurant- service, food and wines. They list several wines and they give us a cheap LAZO which retails for $6 but charged us $16 and it was NOT on the menu list. Plus serve wine in nice glasses not DOLLAR store glasses!!!|-they listed turkey for Thanksgiving and then tell us that there's no more and it was only 6 pm|-VERY VERY VERY SLOW service. It took us over 1 hour to get a salad and another hour for our meal. The waiter then has the nerve to ask us for a 20% tip. Are you kidding!!! Tip for what? He never came and cleaned our dirty dishes. He never asked how was our dinner? Really NO SERVICE. Teach waiters a tip is given for good service!!! |-they list a Cesaer salad and it tasted like it came from a bottle creamy italian. Not good at all! Please learn how to make Cesaer dressing!|-restaurant dining area was FREEZING COLD. We ended up sitting outside. Plus sooo noisy. They need noise abatement material on the walls in the dining area. |-feral cats roaming around our table as we ate and sitting on empty chairs. YUCK!!!|-elevators SMELL very mildew|-VERY NOISY room with trucks and cars honking all night and I even asked for a quiet room |-meal was tastelss... chef needs to learn how to cook with condiments. ||All in all a bit overpriced for what we got. I'd probably not come back but unfortunately not too many options...

Nous revenons tout juste d’un séjour de 3 nuits dans ce charmant hôtel situé sur la panaméricaine soit les 6,7 et 8 mai 2013. Il est tout blanc et donc très difficile à manquer. |||| Nous avons été enchantés sur toute la ligne. Au départ, l’accueil de la gentille réceptionniste fut excellent et efficace ce qui débuta très bien. Nous avons opté pour les chambres du fond sans balcons pour le prix mais aussi pour un maximum de tranquillité. Nous avions la chambre 71. Nous avons eu droit au tarif « jubilado » soit $38.50 la nuit. Le prix est normalement de $45.00. Les chambres en étages avec balcon et hamac sont près de la piscine et nous aurions eu aussi le tarif « jubilado » soit $52.00. Le wifi internet fonctionnait bien partout. Le signal était « bon » dans notre chambre et « excellent » près de la piscine sur la terrasse extérieure. Nous avions même un coffre fort gratuit dans notre chambre. Il était assez grand pour y loger notre petit laptop et nos avoirs de valeur. Juste un code à mémoriser ce qui évite d’avoir à sortir avec une clé qui peut se perdre.|||| L’hôtel était en train de se refaire une beauté quand nous y étions et c’est prometteur. Il y avait quelques bruits d’outils qui pouvaient être un peu dérangeants de jour mais le calme reprenait sa place en début de soirée. Notre sommeil matinal ne fut aucunement perturbé par ces travaux qui débutaient à des heures normales. Nous avions deux lits doubles confortables dans note chambre qui n’était pas grande mais cela nous convenait amplement vu que nous n’y passions que la nuit. Écran plat de télévision avec un nombre de canaux suffisants. Salle de bain propre avec eau chaude. L’air conditionné fonctionnait bien quoiqu’un peu bruyant sans être perturbant pour autant. La petite piscine est définitivement un atout et on peut en jouir même dans la soirée avec un éclairage adéquat. Les amateurs de tabourets immergés de piscine seront comblés car il y en a 4 ou 5 au bar adjacent à celle-ci et à la terrasse. Nous avons pris deux petits déjeuners au restaurant de l’hôtel ainsi qu’un souper. Tout fut excellent autant pour la nourriture que le service et les prix sont très raisonnable en plus. Nous avons payé $9.63 avec les taxes pour deux pour nos petits déjeuners avec 4 cafés au lait absolument délectables. Le choix des menus est varié. Notre souper a aussi été très satisfaisant et les prix tout autant. Essayez leurs assiettes de poissons que nous vous recommandons. L’hôtel est situé près du Mc Donald’s et d’un grand Mall. Nous vous recommandons l’excellent restaurant bar Las Terrazas situé juste en face de l’hôtel. Pas cher et savoureux ! Nous y avons pris un petit déjeuner et un souper. Essayez l’assiette de poisson grillé à 7 dollars ! Vous ne le regretterez pas ! Le stationnement est très spacieux et vous n’aurez aucun problème à cet effet si vous êtes en voiture. 15 minutes de marche et vous êtes en ville près du terminal de bus. Prenez la panaméricaine à droite en sortant de l’hôtel et tournez à gauche sur la petite rue au restaurant Leonardo. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez-nous au Gran David qui est une Gran Hôtel confortable à tarifs très raisonnables pour la qualité du service et les multiples options offertes.|||| Nous avons prix plusieurs photos et nous vous invitons à les regarder pour vous donner une très bonne idée de l’endroit.|| || Vous devinerez sûrement que ce fut notre coup de cœur alors à vous d’en profiter si vous passez par Santiago !
