Nathylodge — Hotel in Tierra Oscura

This place is incredible. We came here for the first time in December last year to celebrate New Years and we directly fell in love with this place and Clarrise and her beautiful family. Not only is the accommodation great, small house with very comfy beds and with an amazing view on the sea. The surroundings of this place are also so special, many beautiful animals like toucans, small hawk, many sloth (even with babies), parrots, monkeys, dolphins, hummingbirds, iguanas and if you take your time you will see them all. I should not forget to mention the garden with many beautiful plants. This place also has one of the most incredible coral reefs I have seen while snorkeling and that is just at their doorstep. Water is nice and warm and always inviting for a swim, snorkeling, paddle boat or a kayak, which are all available free of charge.||Clarrise also prepares delicious food, from breakfast to dinner.||We don't come often to the same place twice but we have been here twice in 1 year because if you need to kick back, relax, do some nice trips or just stay around this place and enjoy its beauty than you know that this is the prefect place to be. I am sure that we will be back because our two boys of 6 and 8 are also crazy...

We stayed with Clarrise and David in December and again in July. We were for New Years and feel in love with this place instantly. We wanted a calm place with beautiful nature and it exceeded our expectations in every sense. The beautiful garden surrounding this place, the untouched coral reef and hardly anyone knows about, the possibility to go on a standing paddle or a kayak with only the sound of water waren amazing. Our kids loved the pool and played a lot with the daughters of Clarrise and we went everyday snorkeling for 1 or two hours with the 4 of us. In December we made a trip with David to the Starfish beach but this time in july we just stayed here and enjoyed every moment. I loved the morning and evening walks trying to discover all the beautiful animals living here. We enjoyed Clarrise her cooking and the talks in the evening. Simply a paradise and we will surely...

Oh my goodness!||This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. It doesn't matter how many pictures you see of Bocas del Toro, nothing prepares you for the stunning view from the window at your lodge.||Located on Isla San Cristobal, it is only accessible by boat. We were met by owner Bernard in Almirante for the 1/2 hour crossing.||The French family who own Nathy were an essential part of the holiday! Bernard took us out in his boat, France was always on hand to chat and shars the local wildlife. And Clarisse's cooking would not be out of place in a Paris restaurant.||I would return to Panama just to go here...
