Gran Hotel Paraná — Hotel in Asuncion

Right now only.a few floors are in operation.The rest is being remodeled. The lobby is very nice and the price is economical for European or American Tourist I was quoted a price of 1550 Euros per month I'm not sure of the price per night but it should be around 60 or $70. There is live music every night in the penthouse and Bar mainly local music or rock is what I've been hearing lately I am living nearby so I see this hotel everyday there are many visitors from Argentina Uruguay and other countries there are many hotels in the area but this is one of the nicer hotels. I am rating this hotel 5 stars for its price (value for money), staff and location. The room itself, although it had a fridge, TV and all the comforts, it felt a bit strange. Could have been due to the classic desk and the dark shaded floor, cannot say exactly, but felt a bit depressive. For 8 nights we paid about 240 euros, which is great value for the capital. Also everything office/business related was just a few blocks away. Breakfast was full, plenty and I recommend to be visited early, about 7am so the food is warm and fresh. Excepting the courtesy of the reception stuff and the room size everything else is average. My room was clean but basic equipped and in a major need to be furnished again. Same for the bathroom. The rooms located on the side of the street (as was mine) are noisy.||The hotel is convenient located for those which intent to use the bus 30 to come and go from/at the airport.
