Las Orquídeas Parque Hotel — Hotel in Ciudad del Este

While Cuidad del Este is off the beaten path for Americans, this ended up being our favorite hotel of our Paraguayan vacation. We came to Ciudad del Este to see the nearby falls in Argentina.||||My wife and I liked this hotel. Its Continental charm and beautiful garden made it an excellent oasis from the craziness of Cuidad del Este. The neighborhood is good; the hotel is gated; and my wife felt secure. ||||The breakfast was very good. ||||One member of the staff spoke English well and helped us plan our trip to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls, using the ferry, on which we transported our car.||||The kids enjoyed the small playground on the property (there is a nice park around the corner from the Hotel, with a much larger playground), but most of all they liked playing with the Hotel's small dog, 'Coto', who enjoyed playing fetch with a small lime.||||Our rooms were of good size, very clean, and...

Great hotel! We have been staying at hotels for many years now mostly in Foz do Iguassu, and this one has to be one of we have stayed so far in terms of value for money. This is a large building, situated away from the craziness that Ciudad del Este can be, that has been turned into a hotel, and does not feel commercial like most other hotels. The staff are friendly, the environment is cosy and relaxing, the garden is very well kept with nice areas to sit down and relax surrounded by beautiful plants. I stayed at a lovely eco hotel in Ciudad del Este and had such a great experience! The place is surrounded by nature, very peaceful, and beautifully designed with eco-friendly details. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The best part was the staff — they were incredibly kind, helpful, and always made sure I had everything I needed.
