Hotel Los Nogales — Hotel in Cajamarca

Generally a nice hotel, friendly, hot water, breakfast (very basic-1 scrambled egg, 2 pieces of bread, juice, coffee), decent enough beds. Getting the water temp in the shower to be warm ( not burning hot or freezing cold) took longer than actually taking a shower.

My last morning here as I left the dining room after breakfast one of the women came around the corner too fast, with a tray of food, and crashed into me. I'm a backpacker, so I have a very limited amount of clothes. The clothes I was wearing were washed in the hotel laundry the day before and were my only clean long pants and long-sleeved shirt. Now with juice and whatever else spilled on both. And since I was leaving town that morning, no time to get them washed again.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff and a great breakfast. The location is not perfect for visitors but on foot the Plaza de Armas can be reached in about 15 minutes and there are public buses just a few blocks away at the Inca circle. The Real Plaza Mall is also just a 10 minutes walk away. The entire building is just very noisy. The walls must be thin and poorly isolated. The tile floors throughout are probably also part of the problem. One can hear people talking, playing music, moving furniture in other rooms and in the hallways. Este hotel superó todas nuestras expectativas. Después de haber pasado la víspera en otro hotel en el centro de Cajamarca city, rodeados de ruídos, vendedores etc , llegar a este establecimiento fue un verdadero bálsamo de tranquilidad. A solo pocos minutos del centro ( en taxi cuesta 4 soles ) el hotel Los Nogales es completamente nuevo. Las habitaciones son muy confortables, todo muy límpio, el personal muy agradable, siempre presto a sugerirte lugares turísticos y recomendaciones en general para aprovechar al máximo tu visita.
