While Machu Picchu was a humbling and beautiful experience, it was rushed. We weren't able to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. At the Sky Domes, we were immersed in the land's beauty. We rented all three domes for the family. Each Dome had a spectacular view and was clean, beautiful, and cozy. We woke up to see and breathe in the magnificence of the Andes. That evening, they taught us how to cook Loma Saltado and Aji de Gallina. Our three college-aged kids loved it! The food was delicious. They then taught us how to make Pisco Sours. We are all excited to take home and use our new skills. Yoel and Cidelia provided tea and a hot water bottle to ensure a warm night's sleep. None of us had used a hot water bottle and had no idea how it made the bed warm and cozy. The beds were so comfortable! Cidelia made an incredible breakfast with quinoa pancakes and delicious fresh papaya juice. To finish our visit, we walked with and bottle-fed the baby alpacas for the last part of the visit. During the walk, we passed through an incredible Inca archaeological site. Yoel is exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the Incas and medicinal plants. The views from the Sky Dome are unsurpassed. Of all the places we have been in Peru, this was my most memorable stay, and I highly recommend it to travelers looking to get off the beaten track. If I could rate it 20 stars, I would!! The photos don't do justice to the place's beauty. The Sky Domes offer a 180-degree view, and the mountain ranges look incredibly close up. We came in the rainy season so that we couldn't see the stars, but the sound of the rain on the roofs was mesmerizing. Yoel and Cidelia are fantastic and I love their long-term plan to employ and empower the local women as Sky Dome grows. Overall it was a completely...

We spent two incredible nights at Sky Dome Peru. The owners, Cidelia & her husband welcome you to their property and treat you as family. We participated in three of the activities they have on offer, and loved every single one of them. A romantic afternoon picnic, set with a paint and sip on day one, a beautiful traditional textile workshop with Cidelias mother Carmen, we learnt the full experience from cutting the wool off the sheep, to dying, spinning and weaving our own souvenir textile. Followed by the Pachamanca experience where you help cook your food in the underground oven made with hot stones and covered with leaves and left to cook, it was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend (we had so much left over we had it for dinner that night as well!) They invited us to cook with them one night in the kitchen and shared so much time with us that it made our trip so memorable. We’ve been traveling over 2.5 months and this was easily our most favourite stay. They have pet llamas and alpacas which give you kisses on the forehead, and gorgeous dogs to cuddle. They even gave us hot water bottles at night! I have nothing but amazing things to say about Sky Dome Peru, and tell anyone who’s thinking about staying to do it! You won’t regret it! 10/10 Thankyou so so much for the most wonderful time! We...

We stayed for the night with Sky Dome Peru and had an amazing time.

Upon arriving in the afternoon, our friendly host family took us down the mountain to visit the Incan ruins a short walk away. While walking around these ruins we found lots of fragments of old Incan pottery. Possibly being the first people to touch those ceramics for hundreds of years was an amazing experience.

In the evening our host family cooked us a delicious traditional Peruvian dish and supplied us with lots of warm drinks for the evening.

We spent the rest of the night in our gorgeously decorated room, overlooking the Andean mountain ranges, listening to music and reading. Once the night sky had set it we had an amazing view of the stars above from our very comfy bed.

The next morning we were served another delicious meal and were shown some traditional Peruvian herbs and plants, as well as being taught a Peruvian game to play.

Our host family was so warm, gracious and welcoming, I could not recommend this accomodation enough. You get a real feel for the Sacred Valley and what living in rural Peru must be like.

Overall I couldn't rate this experience high enough and if I had more time in Peru we would have stayed here longer. I am definitely coming back to visit again next time we are...
