Posada del Rey - Lima Airport — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

About 5 blocks from Plaza Norte, the Posada del Rey is clean and comfortable and in a safe area of the city. |Rooms have hot water, TV, and wifi. Breakfast is included and is generally fresh bread with jam, coffee and tea. On our last day we also received an omelette. |The service was friendly and accommodating and they're currently repainting so everything is very colourful! ||To get into the city takes 20 minutes depending on traffic. Walk to the bridge opposite Plaza Norte and catch any bus going to Evitamiento and exit at Tacna. The historic centre is a few minutes walk. ||To get to Miraflores, go the same way but at Tacna go to the north side of the bridge and take Troncal 301/302 buses to the end of their routes. Was a terrible experience - requested airport pick up but no-one there to pick me up. When I got there they did not have any record of my booking and asked to see my emails so they knew how much to charge me. Room stunk of urine and blankets were stained and dirty. I asked to be moved because of loud music being blasted into the room from a nearby property, next room was slightly better but with stained sheets. It also had a speaker in the room that played music at a really low volume that couldn't be turned off. Staff speak no English and were unfriendly. Requested taxi in the morning which arrived, was charged 38 soles and a staff member gave the taxi driver 20 soles in front of me. Let me start by saying that for the last three years that I've been traveling to Peru I've bee staying at this hotel.|The Plaza Norte shopping mall is walking distance from the hotel. If you like Peruvian food, restaurants are a few | yards away when you step out. The hotel staff is always willing to help you out with any questions you may have concerning directions, places of interest, food stores, pharmacies, gyms.The hotel also can arrange taxi pick up on your way back to the airport.
