There is some good and bad, but ultimately I wouldn't recommend a stay here.

The good is the service, beach and the view. The service from the staff is wonderful, truly a wonderful group of people working here that are very accommodating. The beach at this location is also very appealing. It's far enough away from the main boulevard that you'll feel the beach is mostly just for you. The actual water is great with no rocks aside from the ones almost always plainly visible, it all makes for a great swim.

The bad thing about this hotel is mostly amenities, food and also distance. You really have to hope that your cell service will be working, I had a Bitel chip which has great coverage throughout the country but not at this location. Along with the bad cell service there is no decent WiFi at the hotel. The rooms have no WiFi and the wifi available in the restaurant area probably won't reach your room and is limited service at that. Limited meaning you can only use it for basic needs like sending instant messages. This is pretty bad considering WiFi is almost an expected service at any hotel and for the price it seems quite ridiculous to not be included or really at all available (it's seriously limited). The second bad part is a combination of food and location; the food is sub par and expensive, my 25 Soles "burger" was a tiny patty with lettuce, tomato and cheese between two pieces of sliced bread. This wouldn't be such an issue if it wasn't for the distance to the main area with food options. You'll get hungry after sundown and have very limited options of food nearby. Luckily most areas will deliver for a fee of, at my lowest, 12 Soles.

TL;DR; In conclusion, if you only want a nice view and access to one nice beach area with no need for much else then this might be a good option, but honestly asking the neighboring hotels about their amenities and pricing might result in a better stay for the same or cheaper. Mancora Beach Bungalows is a breath of fresh air in resort hotels and great service. No extra charges. Reasonable prices on all Food and Beverages. Friendly and helpful staff. They even make their own Bloody Mary Mix from scratch using fresh tomatoes, ginger, garlic, carrots, beets, radishes, onions and Peruvian hot peppers! Wow, what a great extra treat. Das Hotel hat mir super gut gefallen, bis auf das Frühstück. Das war mangelhaft! Deshalb Punktabzug.||Aber sonst alles super gepflegt. Ständig wird überall geputzt, gemacht und repariert. Die Leute sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Fremdsprachenkenntnisse etwas "simpel", aber sonst wirklich alles top. Das Hotel ist recht klein, und das Restaurant liegt herrlich am Meer. Es weht von dort immer eine angenehme Brise, sodass man es prima aushalten kann. Da der Strand leer ist (jedenfalls im November) kann man stundenlang dort entlang laufen. ||Was man wissen sollte: Da die Zimmer und Balkone alle zum Meer ausgerichtet sind, liegen die Balkone im Schatten. Wer also gern auf dem Balkon brät, wird nicht ganz zufrieden sein. Aber rund um die Pools und draußen am Strand gibt es für Sonnenanbeter genügend Plätze. Der Sandstrand ist wunderschön und der Wellengang nichts für Weicheier.||Das Abendessen war sehr gut. Die Portionen für mich zu groß. Am Arrangement könnte man arbeiten, aber es war alles sehr, sehr lecker. Insofern hat mich das mangelnde Frühstück geärgert. Wer ist bloß auf diese dämliche Idee mit "Continental Breakfast" gekommen? Was tut man dem Kontinent an?? Ich bin mit dem Motortaxi (warten immer vor dem Haus, kosten 10 Soles, einfache Fahrt) in die "Stadt" gefahren und habe mir für wenig Geld super schönes Obst gekauft. Damit habe ich dann mein Frühstück aufgepeppt. Auch Mittags ist das eine gute Alternative: Ein Essen im Hotel kostet um 30 Soles. Taxi nach Mancora hin und zurück 20 Soles (kann man sich zu zweit ggf. teilen?) und 2 wunderbare, duftende und wohlschmeckende Empanadas bei einem kl. Bäcker kosten 2 Soles. Man hat Geld gespart, gut gegessen und Spaß gehabt. Empfehlenswert: Morgens früh aufstehen und am Strand lang laufen und auf die Fischer warten. Die bringen ihren Fang ein, z. B. tolle Lobsters.
