As part of a travel tour (which we paid additional for accommodations), we stayed here. Supposedly, the only four star hotel in Nazca, we arrived and were very impressed with the grounds, outside property, etc. However, once assigned a room, it was a throwback to a 1960s motel. Minimal amenities had to almost beg for additional pillows and towels, which took more than an hour. Granted, we visited during the "shoulder season", however, we were completely underwhelmed. A few of the staff were friendly, but mostly uninterested in the level of advertised accommodation. Dinner was enjoyable. Breakfast was unmemorable. Not knowing much about Nasca, we'd probably do more due diligence than the tour company (Exoticca) did on our behalf. Read moreThe hotel is placed in a very nice surrounding. The place is a colonial site with all kinds of nice places to enjoy this special place in the desert. The room and especially the bathroom is the reason for the 2-star rating. It is old, but also not working properly and ours was not very clean. For a 4-star hotel not something one would expect. Next to this the food is terrible and the staff is not very friendly and attentive. One would at least expect to get served at the bar, but staff is continuously walking around and not paying attention to the guests. Strange... But it must be said: this place is spectacular, you feel like you are actually in a colonial house. Also it has some animals walking around like lama Dina and 6 peacocks whom enjoy the bar as much as we did. Maybe not the best place if you don't like animals...
