I had a brief stay in Nazca planning to do an aerial tour of the Nazca Lines. La Maison de Lydia is a great little property located on the outskirts of town. The price is extremely affordable and the staff are great. When I arrived the woman that received me booked my tour of the Nazca Lines for me. The company she booked AeroNazca was great!||||The staff are super friendly and helpful and there is a small market directly across the street. The room did not have air conditioning but did have a pedestal fan. Since the hot days cool down at night I found that the fan kept the room comfortable. There is a simple breakfast included (they suggest to consume that after your flight).||||It is located on the outskirts of the small town of Nazca. I walked downtown to the Plaza de Armas and it was possibly 10-15 minutes. I also walked back at night and although the streets are less well lit the closer one gets to the property, I felt perfectly safe. A cab ride from the town center to the hostel is 5 Soles.||||The town is small and quaint. I wish that I had booked an extra night at La Maison de Lydia so that I didn't feel as rushed and could have enjoyed Nazca a little bit more.||||I would recommend this property to anyone who is thinking of...
Read moreMy husband and I had a wonderful experience here!! They had a person meet us at the bus station and bring us to the hotel. They then ordered us lunch while we swam. The room was very nice and comfortable. I thought the price was extremely reasonable. The space is very cute and open with a pool. They serve breakfast in the morning, so we were able to eat before we left for our flight over the Nazca Lines. They also arranged for transportation to the Lines and the whole experience. Their family is extremely kind, helpful, and go above and beyond to make your stay spectacular! On our last day, they let us stay in another room for a small fee because our flight wasn’t until 10pm. Oh... and our host that picked us up from the airport also dropped us off at multiple other locations in town during our stay. I highly recommend staying here!! We would definitely stay here again! Did I mention how kind and wonderful the family is??? They...
Read moreIncredible place, fantastic helpful staff (organise all tours at no extra charge), a nice clean pool (very nice during a hot Nazca afternoon....). Breakfast good if not phenomenal - it´s the typical bread, butter, jam and tea/poor coffee, but one does get fresh juice.||Improvement potential: fans in the rooms - they were already hot in September.....||Location is a bit less than perfect, about 800 metres or so walking to Plaza Mayor, 1 km to the bus stations. Showers are standard Peru - very little water but one has to understand that in the world´s...
