I was hosted there 3 or 4 times in different months (different years since 2017). The Duke Hostel is an old building really close to the beach, the local market, banks and restaurants. To myself this place is really special, because Otto, as an old-school surfer, gives me lots of advises about how to ride El faro (the mitical slab there) and after all these conversations I consider him a friend. The rooms are clear, modest and really basic. It is really helpful could use the small kitchen after to buy fish in the fish terminal. The kitchen was a bit dirty (quite some dust) and didn't have much equipment.||It is the only place in town where you can rent surfboards, but do check if the leash is still attached to it as the owner takes the leashes of boards when he wants to use them himself that day and is not in a hurry to put them back on again.||Big plus was the tv in our room, which also had some English channels for those...
