Pacasmayo Hotel Los Faroles — Hotel in Pacasmayo

We arrived late without reservation and were warmly greeted, given fresh towels and shown our room. Our room was clean, comfortable, with a nice private bathroom, fan, and tv. We were staying inside next to the kitchen. They also have nicer rooms with outside entrance and more natural light. The kitchen is clean and well stocked with cooking implements. We used the kitchen often throughout our stay. ||Los Faroles is set up for surfers with wetsuit cleaning stations and outside showers in the backyard. The backyard is full of plants and nice places to sit in the shade. Though we did not come to surf, we had an amazing time relaxing at the beach located only two blocks away. The location is great! You are right on the beach and about four blocks from the local market and downtown. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay.||The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had left a pair of my most cherished earrings in the room, only to discover they were missing a day later once I had traveled to Lima. I called the hotel and they put them on a bus and had them delivered to my new hotel free of charge! I couldn't believe it. The woman who helped me went above and beyond, first finding my earrings, then packaging them, taking them to the bus terminal, arranging the shipping, and paying for the whole thing out of pocket! My girlfriend and I spent a few days in the beach end of November and we can easily say, during our 2 months trip around South America, Los Faroles was the nicest place we stayed.||The staff is lovely and helpful, they make sure you are comfortable and happy with everything there.||The hostel has a really cool and relaxing back your with bbq, hammock, ping pong table, shades under the trees and 3 awesome dogs!||The rooms are big, bright, clean, the beds are very comfortable and the hot shower is pretty good!||The hostel is really well located, walking distance the shops and beach, also they borrow bikes for the guests. WiFi works very well.||To go surfing in El Faro you have to get a moto taxi which is not a big deal. ||For the surfers is the place is the best set up!||They don’t offer breakfast however you can have it in a restaurant just across the road or you can use the hostel kitchen.||We had a great time here! Hospedaje Los Faroles is a family run establishment. It is located one block from the beach on a quiet street. When you get back from the beach you can shower off in the outdoor shower, hang out in the hamocks under the trees and listen to the birds. There is a small resturant and cold beers on site. The have some bicycles that you can use for free and there are also some surfboards to rent. Free wifi and access to kitchen facilities if you choose to cook for yourself. I have been to Pacasmayo twice to surf in the last 10 years, once as a solo female and now as a couple. I feel very fortunate to stay at Los Faroles. The family here are very hospitable, helpful, and caring. Their lodging is clean, comfortable, and secure. It is a rare sanctuary in the otherwise rugged landscape.
