We had the fortune of staying at POSADA DE PERCYBAL in Puno. This is their location that is a bit uphill overlooking the harbor and the Titicaca Lake. This gives you a magnificent view of the sunrise over the lake. The rooms at the Posada de Percybal are clean and spacious. The shower has plenty of hot water. The staff is all family and will do all to service you and make your stay comfortable. The sweet wife prepared a delicious breakfast (including good coffee and avocados), the daughter is good at English language, and the husband (named Percybal) is also very service minded. A bonus is that grandma is running a small kiosk across the street.|Percybal was helpful and apart from the room we were serviced by airport pick up, boat tour on the lake, taxi transit to Bolivian border, and money exchange at a fair rate.|All in all a 5 star recommendation is well...

Yes, it is pretty basic, bathrooms could be cleaner, but it was so cheap and the staff were so friendly. We asked for extra blankets as it was a little cold. The walk to the bus terminal is under 5 minutes (we were advised to take a cab at night, as it's not the safest of areas) yet the town itself is a good 15/20 min walk. Would recommend for a quick and convenient stop over for the...
Read moreI stayed 1 night between Bolivia Hop buses and was pleasantly surprised by this place. Nice helpful staff, good price for the room, if not a basic room.||||The location is not the best for the center of Puno but it's still only a 15-20 min walk away. It looks out onto Lake Titicaca so it makes up for it. Right by the road for pick ups and ddop offs by your tour/bus companies etc. You have to walk at least a few blocks to get to any kind of restaraunt which was a bit of a pain late evening when we arrived, but we managed.||||If they would provide some form of breakfast I think it would be a real hit with stop...
