HOTEL GARRISON — Hotel in Rupa-Rupa

The greatest surprise of my trip to Tingo Maria was my accommodations and the incredible helpfulness of its proprietor, Jesus, over the course of my two week stay there.

There wasn't a question he couldn't answer, a favor he couldn't assist with, a need he couldn't meet.

The location is close to most everything in town, although, granted, Tingo isn't too big.

Jesus recommended restaurants, I was fed wonderful food by his girlfriend, Rosita. He made great cocktails, he found drivers for me, he rented motorcycles for me, he made my guests feel welcome, he introduced me to people in the town.
