The photos in fairness are a little misleading tbh so don't expect anything amazing (search on google you'll find some). When we pulled up the driveway entrance looked so shabby we thought it had closed down tbh. But once you walk up the path and into the reception its all change. With the exception of the pool. The complex and rooms, well one we stayed in, was clean and more than comfortable. We were amazed how there weren't more guests there tbh. It's a little dated tbh but for $40 a night for a twin it's perfectly reasonable. Also as the rooms are off the road it's way better than the city and its noisy transport issues. If you stay in the city realise that road noise is a horror from about 5am. Motor tricycle engines and beeping. ||The pool was a little rough tbh. If the pumps were working and the water was being filtered then maybe it would be okay. From the managers point of view I can get it. With hardly any guests it may not be cost effective to be maintaining it to a high standard. But of course has an impact on your opinion like ours. ||The staff were all helpful (well the young guy at reception was and he's all we dealt with) as best they could be. We got a transfer to the airport at 3.30am which was complementary. And I gather collections are dealt with in the same way. ||I would return here again if I visit Iquitos but much to my horror it's a place that was way off what I imagined it would be (Iquitos city). It's for the most part a pretty crappy city but of course it's the doorway to the jungle which is stunning. ||FYI from the hotel to the city, which is about 15mins, it will cost you 4 soles on one of these noisy motor...

They brought us a welcome treat of fresh coconuts with the top cut off and a straw to drink the coconut water. They helped us with great suggestions and assistance in every way. The wi fi is excellent. The hotel is outside of downtown on the road from the airport to downtown, and it's quiet and spacious. It's easy and inexpensive to get a mototaxi to downtown or to the airport. The breakfast is really nice, and is served in a comfortable and clean dining room with delicious fresh juice. The pool and pool area is large and is a welcome retreat after a hot day downtown. This hotel and its staff...
