It was so worth the 2 hour bus ride from Tarapoto to get here. Located before the main town, the property has a stunning lakefront location and all rooms have unobstructed water views. Watching the sun rise over the distant hills was unforgettable! The whole place gives you a sense of tranquility, of serenity and of peace and harmony both with nature and oneself. There’s also a yoga studio for use. |Irma and Martha are excellent hosts and provided me with the best breakfast I’ve had in Peru and probably anywhere. Homemade granola, freshly baked bread, homemade jams, you get the idea! Dinner was also a delight and they cooked up some delicious vegetarian options for me. |The treatment baths were both relaxing and highly therapeutic, as was the massage. Martha works well with energy balancing and healing. |The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and lazing in the outdoor hammock was a delight. There’s ample hot water too which is solar powered. |The lake itself is warm and you can easily spend hours swimming away or just gazing out from the small wooden jetty. |If you seek peace and tranquility and inspiring views, La Posada de...

Hannah arranged a tree climbing session, a trip on the lake by boat, and a hike to an amazing waterfall where we could swim in the refreshing pool at the bottom. ||||Breakfast each morning was a delightful meal on the lovely verandah of the main house. Lots of fruit and interesting honey and homemade jam. Marta made porridge specially for...
