Las Jawas Lodge — Hotel in Sauce

This place is one of the best hotel complexes I have ever been to! I am serious. Well located right above the Laguna Azul, with a great view, this ecolodge offers a well-treated pool, an outdoor gym, a playroom with billiard and ping pong (among else), a lovely dining hall, spatious room with really hot water (solar pannels), a wooden pier right on the lagoon (which I used for my yoga practice), kayak rental, umbrellas ready for use at the patio outside of your room AND a massive flower patch (and drinking fountains) for hummingbirds (colibris). You can just sit on the patio observing them (and the lagoon views) for hours - and they really come as close as a few metres distance. There are two dogs and two parrots at the property. The breakfast is regional and truly substantial (included in the price) and the lunches and dinners offer a variety of regional and even vegetarian options. The whole place has an atmosphere of a real paradise, surrounded by trees and plants and flowers. An absolute top choice from all the option around the lagoon. ||What´s best, there only are about 12 bungalows, so very private, tranquil atmosphere is a sure thing. The hotel requires the guests to be thoughtful of others and not to disturb their peace - especially at night, which I find amazing as it is very special to find a place like that in Peru where at nights you are not disturbed by loud music and parties.||I surely hope to be back soon. ||A moto taxi will take you to the place for 5 soles from the vans (colectivos) station (paradero). It is located about 1.8 km from there. ||The wifi zones are available for free in two places. Perfect for those, who want to regulate their constant "being online". I enjoyed it as an internet detox too. It was so much better watching the stars at night rather than the screen of my laptop...

We stayed at this place for a few days and it was very friendly, professional and with a personalize attention beyond the expected.||We got a series to unexpected events on the start of our vacations (missed flight, really late arrival to Tarapoto city, lost of luggage at the airline, etc) and the management of this place helped us and worked with us to solve all our headaches: offer us an alternative place in the city for one night with no extra charge (because we arrived so late that there wasn't ferry boat available to get to this hotel) and picked up our luggage when it arrived the next day and brought it to us.||The manager, Mrs. Chavez is an incredible person and helped us to take the tours we requested with trusted guides around the town and other places of interest.||The place is very well maintain, with lot of decorative details and very clean, The food and drinks offered at the place are absolutely amazing (We are peruvians and we know our food, but we have to admit the this place gave us food to remember).||We definitely recommend this place to everyone who seeks a beautiful place to spend some days away and we definitely...
