Hotel Restaurant Mi Tierra — Hotel in Tarma

DO NOT BOOK, DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THIS PERSON! The owner of this hotel, Robero Cacho, is a SCAMMER and stole alot of money from us. We booked an 11 person tour with him. My family member had previously done a tour with him a few years back. The deposit for 11 people was sent months prior, the balance sent wire transfer a few days prior to our trip. Everyone arrives at the airport and he is not there to pick them up. I was already in San Jose, Alajuela, sitting on the porch of his closed up hotel, trying to call him, his hotels, texting, and nothing. We learn he has another hotel about 5 min away; we catch a cab and we arrive at that hotel, also closed. Locked up. Both hotels, Hotel Mi Tierra and Hotel Mi Tiera Casa Blanca are closed and locked up. Tried calling, could hear phone ring but nothing. We peeked inside, it was a disaster, crap everywhere. Our cab driver was very helpful, tried calling himself, tried talking to neighboring businesses but got no info. So now we had 11 people in the city, nowhere to stay, no clue what is going on, and of course with the realization that this guy took our $2200/per person (yes, multiplied by 11) and ran. We did what we could, filed the necessary reports, officials ensured it was his bank acct that the funds were sent to. Pésima atención, no me dijeron que hoy había fiesta hasta las 4 de la mañana, es una bulla insoportable, cada vez más suben la música; en reiteradas ocasiones los he llamado tanto de mi habitación como al teléfono que figura en su página web y no contestan. Bajé a quejarme a recepción y solamente había una persona la cual no sabía nada y lo único que me decía era que la señora estaba descansando y que mañana hablara con ella. Me decepciono totalmente esta instalación que indica llamarse hotel, más bien es un hospedaje, la vez anterior que me hospedé con más familia no tuve ningún gun problema sin embargo ayer que llegamos no me dijeron nada...

Pésima atención, la cochera totalmente aglutinada, nos despertaron a las 4:00 am patearon nuestra puerta de habitación para sacar el carro pese que antes de nuestro ingreso preguntamos nos dijeron que nadie salía temprano, para poder sacar el carro todo demoró más de una hora en todo el frío en la madrugada, no había servicio de cable en la televisión, solo canal libre, la frazadas súper pesadas, lo único rescatable fue el desayuno donde si nos atendieron.
