My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and we were very impressed with the rooms. The bathrooms in particular were very modern and had reasonably good hot water (a luxury in Trujillo). The breakfast was good and included bread, butter, jam, coffee, tea, juice and eggs/omelette. The owners and staff speak very little English, but are friendly and helpful (we speak very little Spanish but managed fine). Location wise it was perfect for us as I was attending training nearby. It is about a 20minute walk to the city centre (or 5-10minutes in a cab for around 4soles). The bus to Huanchaco regularly passes right down the street and will get you to the beach in 30-40 minutes for 1.50 soles. There are several good lunch options nearby, most do a two course lunch for around 6 soles. Dinner options nearby include burgers and Chinese, there is also with a steak restaurant and family style chicken restaurant about a 5 minute walk down America Norte. There are several grocery stores and small shops nearby (for water, snacks etc) as well as same day laundry services.
