Hotel Alexander — Hotel in Trujillo

*Even if I really tried to review this hotel on 'hotels.com', I was not really able to find where I can review, so I write here.

1 year ago, I stayed at this hotel for almost 1 year because of covid 19 lockdown. I visited peru for meeting my girlfriend, even if we break up few days ago... but some day I will visit peru for her again. anyway.

First of all, facility. This hotel is so clean. This hotel was a new hotel when I visited peru. every day workers clean all stair, rooms, and everywhere I can see. And there is elevator in hotel, even if when I was in hotel, it was built. Now it must be finished. and room is luxury than I imagine.

Second, it is located near almost attractions.

Third, good service. all of receptionists and workers are so kind and comprehensive. They always get smile. And they changed single room into double without paying. I guess they thought I must be in hard because I should stay in only single room in quarantine days. It was so helpful... Really thank you. and breakfast was delicious and there were many kinds of foods.

and one day when I stayed alone, they kept their position always. I felt so secured. And when I had complain for something small, they always treat it fast and kindly.

Fourth, good wifi :)

I really and really appreciate all of hotel workers and boss (Antonio?) hahaha Even if I cannot speak in Spanish, they always were kind! someday I will visit there again!

Hotel Alexander is an interesting ten minute walk from central Trujillo. The immediate neighborhood seems pretty iffy at first, definitely not a tourist area. The main drawback is lack of nearby restaurants if you do not want to walk back downtown. However the hotel is very clean, pretty quiet, with good beds, new linens, a good cooked-to-order breakfast and a friendly staff. I would not recommend this hotel. Only two towels come with the room, no washcloths or shower mat, No shampoo or conditioner, no heat or a/c, only one cup of coffee and anything besides what comes with Breakfast costs extra, shower is very slippery, rooms are very noisey ( rooms connect to an open area, all floors, so we can hear the garage door opening and closing everytime along with hearing other people on other floors and rooms are not very nice....
