We stayed in Trujillo because we where on our way to Mancóra from Lima and we didn't want to stay in a bus for 18 hours or so, :). We made a reservation via booking com, but the hotel didn't received it. Because of that, our reserved room wasn't ready yet. But the receptionist was kind enough to give a temporary smaller room for an hour, eventhough we didn't really need it because we were planning on having dinner. It's about a 20 to 30 minute walk from the hotel to the Plaza de Armas. So that's really doable, but because it was dark the receptionist called us a cab. It's 5 soles to the centre. When we came back to our new room we where quite surprised. The room was really big and even had a dining table. The bathroom had a bath and the size you normally expect in more expensive hotels. We stayed one night here. The next day we took the night bus to Mancóra. The Cruz del Sur station is just 4 blocks away from the hotel. Even so, the receptionist at the hotel offered to give us a ride to the terminal. The staff is very friendly and helpful and rooms are great. So why not 5 stars? Read moreAbout 15 minutes from the airport. Not far from the main Plaza, but I don’t know if super safe to walk there. We had a great driver! The staff was absolutely amazing. They bent over backwards to accommodate a sick family member. The free breakfast was good and the rooms were pretty modern. I was a little nervous when the beds were a little stiff, but they were actually really comfortable, especially considering I have a bad back...very close to Chan Chan ruins- maybe 10 minutes. I would normally probably give 4 out of 5 stars, but again, the staff was just amazing! There is remote control Air Conditioning units which worked effortlessly, and there is a safe in the room. Though not in the safest location, the hotel...
