Hotel: Our group of 14 people stayed at the Intiterra Apart Hotel for 4 nights 5 days. There are so many wonderful things to say about this hotel, but the staff made the stay even better. The Hotel is beautiful. The entry way stunning, sunny, beautifully decorated. The Courtyard was blooming with flowers with a fire pit large enough for our group. Firewood provided for 15 soles. Rooms were spacious, clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The breakfast/dinner room was spacious and provided a beautiful breakfast scene with glass windows/Atrium. The food was plentiful and tasty. Breakfast choices were eggs, bread, ham and cheese. Dinner was prepared for most of the day by kitchen staff by hand and portions were large. We were able to have a different meal each evening without needing to go into the city. ||Staff: There are so many wonderful things to say about the staff. We were greeted by Pilar who was friendly and smiled each interaction. The cleaning ladies were busy, greeted and smiled when passing. The food serving staff was attentive to our group's many requests. The moment we sat down they began feeding our group as we had preordered to help for their preparations with such as large group and limit our group to fewer choices. They provided us plenty of water bottles. We were well cared for by Franz in the evening. He speaks Spanish and English which was helpful. Franz set up taxis for us, laundry service, and helped to move in another bed in one of the ground floor rooms after a member of our group hurt her foot in Cusco. Thank you Franz for your help and kindness. Now for Paula. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Paula! Paula worked hard to provide for our large group. She communicated with me through what's app and was quick with responses. Paula set up everything for our group including: reception upon arrival, all tours, dinners, and answered our many many questions with a smile! Prior to our arrival Paula received all reception information to assist with the check- in process which made it so much easier. Paula also provided us with a menu given we would likely be starving upon arrival and she was right! Transportation was set up with a large van, easily found at the airport. Paula set up an extremely thrilling ATV tour or Moray and Maras and came with us to take many pictures. She set up Machu Picchu from departure to return, every detail planned out. She set up Yoga and a trail ride for a few of our group last minute with ease. Paula was gracious, accommodating, kind, patient, and truly went above and beyond! Thank you all for a wonderful week and we cannot thank you enough for caring for our group. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again...
Read moreBeautiful location in the valley. It is exactly what we were looking for. Very tranquil and comfortable with views of the mountains. Service was fabulous.|As English speaking guests, we were able to communicate via WhatsApp and Google Translate.|We had the King's Room with three bedrooms, heat, and a washer and dryer. The washer and dryer was a wonderful amenity to have during our trip to Peru. This hotel is wonderful. There is a foosball table in the dining room, outdoor seating, a fire pit, a rooftop terrace with views of the mountains, and gorgeous landscaping. It is a small property that has been meticulously designed with love by the owner. Anything you need, just ask. ||Some minor items to note. No water filtration under the sink, but they did provide a water-boiling carafe and glass pitcher that we used constantly and refilled our water bottles. This was a minor inconvenience. The location is very hard to find as the two entrances are not what you would expect. One entrance has you drive down a steep narrow dirt road to reach the main gate (always closed, need to press buzzer to enter and cars cannot go in this way) and the other on a grass covered road to a gate (always closed, need to press buzzer; this is where cars park). To be fair, there is a sign clearly stating the property is there, it is just not what we expected. The other thing to note - mostly for American tourists- is that you have to ask the staff to let you out of the property.|They quickly do. But we felt bad having to leave at 5am and waking them up, or arriving back to the hotel late. The staff is very caring and...
Read moreWorst hotel we had in Peru. We had some complaints (bad pillows, broken toilet door) the man at the reception seemed to want to help us, but the woman (we think the manager) not gave into anything and always started to mumble in Spanish infront of us and then nothing was possible or nothing was wrong. The accomodation asked multiple times if they could help us with planning a trip. At first I found this helpfull but when I asked for a driver and English guide to Maras they couldn't find one. Someone in the loby wanted to drive us for an okay price but then the female manager started to negociate a higher price because of the hotel commission. There was a lack off or underachievement on all sides (cleaning, restaurant, limited breakfast, service). You hear the neighbours and at the time of our stay there where a lot of families with crying and shouting children at night. It felt like we had a spare room, the (double deluxe) room didn't seem to be cleaned regularly (dust, big spiders in the curtains, toilet door didn't close, 1 bathrobe and 2 towels for 2 guests, chair missing) There are no blinds in the open bathroom and above the door. The night lights shine bright in the room. Biggest disapointment is that there is no drinking water provided. When asking for it the female manager reassured the water is very clean to brush your teeth but in the same sentence they warn not to drink the water. Very dubious. It seems only a small effort to provide a water bottle when the running water is...
